    Hand in hand art adventuuureee

Hello everyone. Lets take a stroll through art improvement shall we. It won't be pretty at first but like childbirth hopefully we can pull something from this mess. Start things off we got some value studies 30 mins each from pictures because I'm sucking really badly on that front.

    Hello and welcome to CA.
If you want to practice value, I would like to suggest to work on something simpler than your chosen subjects...
A sphere, (my favorite choice) for example. That will give you a good feel for how light and shadow behave on a curved object.
    Hope that helps...

Cool stuff. I agree with Zombifried though. I would pick some simpler subject matter for value studies. Even if it's completely boring like a still life or something. Anything from life would probably make a decent choice to start up with actually. Best of luck!

Didn't nearly get enough done this weekend but things happen, live in the present blah blah hell ya!

Here is my submission to the Crimson dagger boxart bloodsports challenge and some studies that I hope the ballerinas never have the chance to see

@WRappiii I just gave it a try, I'm struggling as it is with painting in PS but another challenge is like feeding coal to a burning passionate love fire!

Getting alittle more used to the grey scale and really trying to pump up my drawing skills. Did a couple pages of loomis' mannequin as well but my camera takes awful versions of it. I'm going to keep pushing the girl picture as far as I can take it !

Got my intuos in today and started one of my monthly challenges! The goal is do 100 value studies this month and I started today..hahaha 3/100 down.

It might look horrible but I spent 30 mins on each. Looks like I need to kick it back to at least an hour to really get my process down.

Way off the amount of value studies I've wanted to do but taking my time and REALLY trying to see everything feels like its paying off. I'll try and keep them no longer than 2 hours and keep pushing. Tomorrow I'll post some traditional stuff just to show off how bad quality my camera is .

    Hey. Nice studies.

I would recommend for a beginning to focus more on life drawing and traditional mediums. Maybe some still life done with charcoal or pencil is not the most exciting thing on earth to do but it helped me a lot with foundations.

    Cheers.
