She is described as "Babylon the Great, the Mother of Prostitutes and Abominations of the Earth."

More information can be found here.

Sorry about using a zero instead of a o. CA does not like that word.

Hmmm... can this take place in any era? The book of Revelation hasn't happened yet, so can it be depicted in the near future? Or should it be from when it was written (2nd-3rd century A.D.)?

Would posting an image of Lady Gaga or almost any other contemporary "star" count as a submission? How about Kim K.?

    (kidding, obviously...)

Ok, let`s have a go at this...

Basic idea - a long lost temple with a giant figure of the Babylonian "Babe" with her...erm, entrance...

Also, if anyone has any good reference images of both caves and temples AND of a figure in that pose, I`d really appreciate it. I`m pulling this one off w/o refs ATM, and, well...yea.
    I so much do very suck with painting environments, you know... ;______;

PxelSlayer Great concept O_O man! I'm not sure about the lightsource from inside the entrance though, looks a little dominating / distracting. Using the light breaking through the clouds I think works by itself. You should try and look at some HR Giger works. I've a couple of links, see what you think. First from Skyrim concept art; http://loudmouthedgamers.com/blog/wp...cept-art-5.jpg
The second is a Giger painting called Witches dance; http://tumblr.grogery.com/post/12589...ches-dance-via

    Thanks, Dayle!

You know, funny you should post that Azura image...I was greatly inspired by Skyrims huge daedric sculptures TBQH (playing it obsessively ever since it got out), and I think it kinda shows...lol

Well, back to reference hunting I go...

    PxelSlayer *sigh*, I love Skyrim.

Anyway, rough sketch of my concept, at least compositionally. Will do more research and get some stronger references but for tonight wanted to post my initial idea.

@Dayle - Ah, Skyrim...Luckily, playing it is not preventing me from having a real life.....

@Xbert - thanks, m8! Never underestimate the power of "perv" in topics like these...

Coming along slowly with mine. Will probably repaint everything another 15 times (I just keep fiddling, fffff...-_______________-`), but this is composition wise pretty much it. Saved a lot of time by using one of my Zbrush head sculpts for her head, thank god.
Will I still fiddle with it?

    You betcha!

PxelSlayer: Dude I reckon you could make it even more dramatic if you pushed perpective bringing her leg closer if you know what I mean... Looks great though love the subtle colours a line of torch bearing weirdos making their way to her VAGINA! would look pretty cool, give you a journey and all that jazz

I forgot how long this stuff takes... Thought I would try using my original sketch and layering over it in photoshop.

    The wh:-)re of Babylon wip

The illustration denotes the arrival of the anti-christ with the beast of the sea on the right. The beast of the earth, with the golden cup on the left and the mother of harlots waiting for the end of days.

dayle: i like the idea behind your image, but i think your trying to show to much in your image. At the moment your characters are fighting for importance, and your main character the the wh0re of babylon almost looks like she's being pushed out of the main image, whilst at the same time the anti-christ figure become the dominant character. If you make your image landscape format, then drop your camera angle to a worms view, your main character will then rise higher into the image and automaticly become the main focus here. Your whole image then will become much more dynamic looking, and you'll probably even find your other minor characters will then have much more strength even though their taking a backseat.

PxelSlayer-- I'm loving the dynamic pose and her face is really well done. But wanted to point out something that has been bothering me. Her vejayjay seems to be more to her right side than in the middle. If you follow the line of her bellybutton down, it doesn't seem to line up where I expect it to be.

Well, now that I have that out of the way... I want to thank you as that may be the strangest cc I've ever written.

PxelSlayer, that's epic ^_^ zy. is right about it being ..... slightly out of line in certain areas, also the front leg is slightly off around the knee.

not very likely this will get done in time, work keeps getting in the way :op
there will be some sort of clothing/jewellery etc, just not on the sketch.

Can we have a thread somewhere to put stuff from old challenges that were done/finished after the deadline? Just a thought.

grenogs Thanks for the comments on my wip, unfortunately, even though your suggestions would definitely improve my piece, no time to redraw with lowered perspective. I really want to get something finished here, so need to use today to get this looking good. Will certainly try and reduce the dominance of the other elements and hopefully will still look ok. I appreciate your feedback.

So, adjusted the composition as per grenogs comments, looks tighter and the focus is more to main character which I like. Now just need to finish!
