Hi,

I'm a first time poster, long time lurker to ca so i hope this all uploads alright. I've been casually drawing and painting since I can remember. I got tired of the way my work looked about a year ago and have since then been taking massive steps toward improving my overall draftsmanship. Mainly looking for critique as I'm not seeing the improvement I'd like to in my stuff :/. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think internets.

Getting into newer stuff now. I've been looking at Hampton and gotta say I heart his anatomy stuff, very helpful

Thank you for the info! I have heard time and time again to use Loomis but haven't gotten around to analyzing his stuff, I'm starting to get the hint

Anyway here is some more sb pages and a crappy photoshop piece I actually submitted to an art show LOL. I have gotten a taste of what deadlines feel like

Update!!! Getting into a lot of photoshop stuff. I desperatley need help figuring out color/composition, feel free to critique hard.

your anatomy studies look great, the photoshop stuff needs more work, those birds look kinda weird(not talking about the human heads xD) find yourself a nice book on color theory and practice more

Has anybody ever told you that you look like Mark Zuckerberg?

I actually thought it was him at first. Not that he himself would bother with drawing though.

You are working hard on anatomy, and the improvement is visible. I think when it comes to digital you have to make the same small steps. If you can't create a composition with pencil, why would you with tablet, that sort of thing.
I can recommend http://www.ctrlpaint.com/ for beginning digitally. The blog covers so many struggles and common misconceptions it is very helpful.
Also, keep an eye on the Critique centre here on CA.org, and watch out for the experts giving advice

good work - keep craning it out, you are growing and development is clear in the pages you're showing. Even if it feels like treading water sometimes it's all going into the brain and will help in the longer term.
