I liked your old SB. It's always nice to see the progress someone makes. I'd like to see some more action poses as they're all a bit static stm.

great first page Jaime! You have improved so much since the last time I saw, which was like what last spring? I am a huge fan of the Whole Dark Fantasy Genre as you probably already noticed, I like your collection of awesome stuff especially. wouldn't it be awesome to have a full on chainmail and several swords and helmets in your studio lol....anyways cheers looking forward to seeing your growth in the future.
Sean
Amazing work as ever Jamie! Love seeing your sketches again, such life and character to them! I'm still stunned by the digi still lifes, so cool!
Your rendering has obliviously improved so much, but I wonder if you might get caught up in the details sometimes, as some of your pieces lack clear focal points, my eye keeps moving over all the little details.
But then again pieces like this are just perfect! http://www.conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1351594&d=1319677783 Wonder distribution or space and focus!
Great to see you posting again man, and thanks as ever for the support in my thread
Matt

Wicked sketchbook mate! You need to work a bit on finishing your works, but overall you do a pretty good job mate. Keep it up!
Sweeeet work! Love your concepts!

I am really digging your armor design! I think your colour/lightning could be a little more sublte sometimes, though. But I really like your style. /sub![]()
I like your colors and painterly style.. but i think some of the pieces are lacking anatomy especially the last one.. however you don't have that problem in your sketches.. which btw are great.
keep rockin!
GOD is HOPE
Awesome work! Don't mind me, I'm just going to go ahead and bookmark this SB![]()
Thanks for the comment Omerta! This thread's first post was totally epic! Your armor designs and rendering are all great, keep working hard!
Noticed some construction mistakes in the last painting. I could be totally wrong though.

Always had a fondness for your stuff, so far Legendary's my favourate. The composition is realy interesting. Not much constructive to say, though I might mirror Black-spot and say push those poses. Your rendereing and sense of colour though is excellent, so keep up the good work!
Hi, nice stuff, especially the metal textures look good.
On the last picture with the girl and the wolf:
Im not a fan of barely clothed women in rpgs, but that's just my personal taste.
Her legs look a little glued together. Just spread them a little and it should look better.
I'm also missing her second arm, the one that goes holding the shield. Where does it or or did it just dissapear ?
The last thing would be about the sheath. It doesn look like it would be for the sword she holds and wouldnt gravity pull down the belt thanks to the sheath or at least on the side where the sheath is fixed ?
My two cents.
Hey Jamie, the last pic starts to be looking great, the girl especially, although Vertical has got good point. I would also reconsider the dog's face, which is looking bit weird right know.
I was told at school many many times to make a precise drawing first - to make a correct anatomy by thin and soft lines. Only when everything seemed flawless I was good to go into shading and adding detail. You could try this approach as well.
Best regards,
Tom
I agree with others about the last one's flaws. You works usually look better, more coherent. I like your stuff a lot, theme is to my liking and presentation isn't bad eitherYou remind me why I should get serious about art. I imagine making such stuff feels nice (not like doing anatomy studies or just playing with colors couldn't be great fun, a hedonist need to enjoy every aspect to be able to master them
).
I like the elaborate armor designs. They have a sleek cool factor to them. I have a soft spot for fantasy as well![]()

Hey there Jamie, thanks for commenting on my sketchbook.
Yours is truly impressive. My favorite pieces: Legendary, Eternal Burn and Demons within. Very, very cool.
Your studies are also admiring. Will have to drop by more often I guess!
great jamie, its good to see you evolving like a fine little pokemon! Keep it up.![]()
Thanks for your visit to my sketchbook, i appreciated what you said about that piece at the top of page 6.
I agree with all the crits given so far on this girl. Definitely agree with Vertical on the chest construction, and shockowaffel made a good point about the legs and especially the shield, which is sitting about where the elbow should be. Also, that arm looks too thin, to me. Merl1n has a good point on preliminary drawings, and i think the issue with the dog's face is that its right eye is too small, but there could be more just have to play around and see haha
But the composition is good! You handled the face extremely well, but should consider cast shadows in other areas; the face has cast shadows, but they're not to be found anywhere else on the figure. Before that though, is sorting the construction and positioning/anatomy.
Good stuff man!

Cool style of sketching and finished works!
hoooooly shit. Awesome.
Wow, this is some great stuff. Kudos!
Great sketchbook. Your pencil sketches are really impressive. That, and the lighting and reflections in the still-life in the previous page. I'm really looking forward to more updates!
Cool stuff sir! I love your armor, you layer it on really well, and it looks like it is meant for the characters!
I would love to see some more stuff, come back and post more!
I agree with the paintover. Also I'd like to see her nostrils flare like she was sniffing the air as she has that expression.
Dope character/creature sketches, Jamie.
