Hey CA, it's been some time, I didn't stop drawing I was just lazy to post xD
well here it is ^^
Love your last update! The figures look really good. But what's that in the background of the sketches?
I think it's the detail from the other side of the paper, it's distracting xD
saltfox: Thanks ^^, sorry about the background, I was without paper and I end up using used paper
Well...those are some stuff I did yesterday
hey Gof... keep going...
nice work and gettng really better with every post...![]()
NITISH KUMAR:Hey, thanks mate ^^
DeJakhalz:Yes, you're right, I always have trouble with finalizing pieces ^^
You have some good studies.
But your lines look a little messy and rushed.
Wow. For 16 years old, you're doing very well.
The gesture drawings you did in your very first post were the best in the thread, frankly. Do you know why? Because they carried more information. They were structural. They weren't scribbles.
Those are they types of gesture (structural gestures) we do at my school, where you build up a figure quickly using a series of volumes.
I think Vilppu is good for more intermediate and advanced students, because he doesn't give you all the basics.
If you could continue doing the types of gestures you did in post 1, you would learn how to draw the human figure much quicker. It's because at some point, both types of drawings have to converge (measured drawing and gesture drawing). Structural gestures are already the link between quick observation and accurate drawing. You just work on refining your gestures over and over.
There's so much to work on (or concentrate on) when doing them:
- Getting the right measurements
- Getting the right shapes
- Line economy (fewest lines possible)
- Line quality
- Aerial perspective (if you choose to use it)
- Speed
- Volume(s)
- Emphasis (what is it you wish to emphasize in the subject?)
It's like juggling. Eventually, you can get all those balls in the air, and you start being able to draw quickly, accurately, and with authority (you know what you're doing).
Good luck; and seek out good instruction wherever you are. Drawing from life is important, but the right instruction is essential.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet - Abe Lincoln
How good are you?
