    thanks everyone :]

frodo0800 - wacoms are relatevly cheap, really. don`t let not having one dismay you! you`ll get one!

In light of this moment - please permit me to share some tear jerk moments of my past :]
I started out drawing back on teh computers in 2002 with a mouse for almost a year.
It was super fun drawing with a mouse! I was bent on becoming a Blizzard Entertainment artist!
All I did was look at the drawings of Chris Metzen and Samwise Didier and that`s everything I wanted to be :]
here is a super oldie from 2002!

But one day, many scanned pencil drawings later, at the end of the year in question i drew probably the most satisfying image i ever did :]
I speakso highly of it because in some boyish attempt to impress my heroes i emailed it to the guys at Blizzard :]
...and they replied!!! they even liked it so much, that they wanted to put it on their front page! and use it as the first
pic for their fan art program :] it was bliss.

not long after that i got a freelance gig and traded in my first tablet -
a second hand Intuos2 for a 100 clipart drawings of kitchen appliances :]

the end. so yeah, dude just draw regularly, start a sketchbook, post, look
at other ppl`s work, study, have heroes, experience life ("real life", not infront of the pc - this is very important) and draw some more.
to finish off here`s some more of the most recent (last)work i did at my job :]

Sounds (and looks) like you've come so far since 2002. Pretty cool how you were able to catch Blizzard's attention with your work even back then Very inspiring, thanks for sharing. Incredible sketchbook here.

Looks like I have a looong way to go!

I always enjoy seeing progression stuff like this. I'm always
so absorbed into the thought that I'm in this giant stand still,
stuff like this always motivates the hell out of me.

Looking forward to seeing where it goes from here, and i
NEED to see more of those animation shorts youre doing!

Very inspiring work. I am enjoying all of your work but I really love the environments, specifically the first one of the most recent post at the moment. You nailed that aged and war-torn look.

    @ focus_light - it`s a cheap chromatic aberration trick :] just go to windows/channels
in PS, select one channel and nudge it in a desired direction to achieve that look. try it
and show us the result :]

soo... i`m putting together a portfolio for wizzards of the coast - here`s one remake
    of this cover

i would like to ask a newbie question..
    how to nudge..?
or is it a smudge tool?
    Thanks.

Thanks for the great response guys :] It`s really encouraging! I`m psyched about
these couple of works cuz i`m finally able to achieve a polish i can be happy with

cerealist - to nudge something just select it and press ctrl+up(or)down(or)left(or)right direction keys

so here`s the next one i`m working on. the composition is kind of stuffed but i`ll try to shrink it around and add some breathing space.
and the owlbear`s legs are kinda wierd still...

Hey, cool. Well the upper body seems very short, doesn't it ? Except for that, nothin' to say, composition is cool, attitudes are varied and nice. Thank you for posting your WIP, don't hesitate to post more steps before it's finished.

yes indeed go with that piece I'd like to see how you solve it (because indeed the owlman thingy is a bit too big and distracting/blocking the rest)

also about #285 I think the original cover was stronger , I dont know the book is floating isolated and that gives more dinamism to the composition, but I cannot tell really because I suppose the upper part is empty so it allows to be filled with the title letters?

Hah I love the faces in your latest piece. Very cool.
It seems a bit weird though that the owlbear doesn't have any kind of wings. At least some leftover indication of wings from his evolutionary history? Anyway, that's just nitpicking. You're doing great
