Hi members of Concept Art,

Still working on my faces and features.
And I definitely need a scanner!

Bear with me, a scanner will appear soon, until then I won't upload crappy-quality-photo-taken-sketches anymore
Here some digital studies.
Color study of a skull: I have to admit that I most of the time colorpicked,
and that's maybe the reason I abandoned this study in an unfinished state.
First digital portrait ever. ColorPicked(I know it's a shame)
Please don't mind the hair. This study took far too long, and it isn't even finished.
No ColorPick
Right after this previous study, I did one from head, no refs used.
Had some troubles with the nose.
This study I did today and yesterday, also took far too long.
Don't mind the hair... again. Maybe I'll work on it tomorrow.
No colorpick.

Worked more further on this one today and yesterday.
Up to another photostudy!
A quick movie screencap:
I'm starting to manage the color slider

Looks great man.
Really, I think you're studying the right stuff - there's not a lot else I can say. Mostly we learn by doing from my experience. As long as you're doing, you're learning![]()
Memory studies (no ref) help and doing little personal projects and assignments helps ingrain learnt work from studying.
Welcome back and keep working hard.
hello there! great work so far!
remember when youre doing a face you can flip the image horizontally and it really helps you see mistakes. And the brilliant thing about photoshop is you can distort and wrap the shit out of things to see how it looks!
i pushed the girls face around a bit using the free transform, warp and distort tools, see what you think!

Hey we met on Sam's stream, you say you're a beginner but i think you're faring a lot better than I was when I started out back in feb. The main problem I see in your current work are the proportions, have you been checking out Loomis or other figure drawing books? lol picking colors with the rgb slider... I have yet to even begin to figure that out kudos to you if you're beginning to get a handle on that. Keep up the studies man!
Sink into syncronicity, thinking in links. Drinking ink, crinkling blank foreheads and squinting and blinking at things
