    Sketching towards a career change.

    Greetings.

    New member on the board.
I'm in the music business and i'm aiming for a career change.
I've always been painting and drawing. I went to art school for two years but perhaps because of all the artsy fartsy talk about contemporary art i stopped painting and started building musical instruments instead. I got a fulltime job as a guitar tech from that but now i'm looking towards a new start as a cg artist or something like that.

I started a blog a while ago but you don't get much feedback there so i decided to start a sketchbook. I would love som input and feedback!

    Three recent sketches atttached.

Thanks /IIIV (formerly known as tyron back in the sijun days)

Wow your colors just pop! Great sense of energy in these, can't wait to see more. I'd like to see some fullbodies sometime too though, as the single one you posted isn't as nice as the others. Hope to see more paintings soon ^_^

    Thanks people!
Cloudcan, you're right, I should definitely do more full figures. I will be working on it.

Here's a pretty quick doodle for an update.

You have a nice sense of planes and light source. The recent doodle is nice with the complimentary colors.

Hope you success in your endeavors.

Been thinking lots about defining shapes and planes, and working with big rough brush strokes. This is a quickie.
