The first two are of Sariel, an Eladrin rogue for a DnD game I'll be in. (yay, my first.)
The others are some of my older works.
You may not have that far to go.You tend to leave the skull a little small, but only a little. SHort that is - they look fine in the back to front size but from eyeline to top isn't high enough. Practise head proportions. You have the face down, so you don't need to worry about that. Your colour sense is strong too.
Cute girls, nice character designs. dragonlady.jpg is cool. Keep working, you're young enough to really improve exponentially if you get good habits now.
P.O.W.! - All the Comic Challenges you can handle

donalfall - Will do that! What I meant by needing practice, though, was that I can't draw males that well, and backgrounds, well, I don't even know where to start with those. They'll be my biggest challenge, no doubt. But thank you for stopping by!
New piccur here, this time of another DnD character. And also my current WIP.
I wanna paint like this girl: http://blackeri.deviantart.com/art/T...odore-48404715

Beautiful faces!
i love beautiful girls.
anyway ive been painting eye lids as of late and i have to say - thanks for the zoom!
yes yes yo,
love that elve chicks, good method! keep rocking!
cheers lateman
The skin looks somewhat flat in some of the pictures. It needs smoothing, shading, highlighting or just some treatment to give more of a sense of volume. Not to say that I could do any better.You are well on your way and I see that you are learning to use shading and highlights. Just keep practicing.
Big update, after a long long time.
Hopefully I'll be keeping this more updated. Right now, I'm looking to start a portfolio, but I feel I need to improve more before I'll be even remotely happy with anything I do. The trouble is, I seem to have hit a roadblock in terms of improvement, I don't know how to make any kind of progress, and it's frustrating. D:

well, your colours are great, the piece at the top of your most recent post has some lovely saturated skin tones. However, I can't help feeling that you're not trying many new things, subjects, techniques etc. you draw and paint lovely girls, but the man in your latest post just doesn't seem to be at the same level. The images you have are nice, but there isn't a lot of diversity, I guess thats what I'm getting at. maybe leave the girls alone for a bit and try some new stuff, landscapes, cafe sketching, a bit of photography even. It might just take you to a new way of working that you didn't know you enjoyed. Anyway, those are just my humble thoughts.

I appreciate the suggestions. I think I might try the cafe and photography suggestions. I'd like to do landscapes a bit, cause it'll help when I want to do more than just a character on a single color background, but it's so ..different? I don't really know where to start, lol. Thanks![]()
You render faces on the women very very well. I love your ability to render in color without making it look cartoonish. I'll be back

I promise I will stop neglecting this thread. ;A;
Some recent stuffstuff:
I redid the original version of that nightelf picture. Muuuch much happier with this one. She no longer has long arms and is no longer floating in front of a mural!
and a comparison of the old one:
Cheesekek of my Allods Online character
A sketchy colored picture my friend. Trying out a new coloring method, discovered I don't like it at all. xD
And some older things. this one is from an rp~
My character Trent( I need to draw more mans, I'd like to confidently draw them without references like I do females)
And a fox drawn with a ref:

You have a knack for faces and anatomy. Keep it up.
this one started with frustrated scribbles in painter, and ended up with this when I started to see shapes in the scribbles. Sometimes I wonder if seeing shapes like that is being artistic, or just crazy >_>;
Inspired by my avatar on Gaia Online. That's right, I have no shame; I enjoy the giant dress-up game!
And one last one for today. Lovey-boys~ I am noticing more and more that my arms (without ref) look very flat. I never understood the point of people drawing just random body parts in their sketchbooks, but I think I just had an epiphany.![]()

Aaaand one more before I go to bed. Posemaniacs studies~

Done from ref, not sure of the time.
this is going to be very nice sb!!)
keep up the good work!
Thank you for the encouragement!
Decided to practice on the center posemaniacs doodle for going from bw -> color but I don't like how all the colors look very muddy. I'm definitely more comfortable going straight to color.

Ref'd from a photo. I finally learned that the cheek/lip area ( )'s are NOT scary and don't make your pictures look awfulterrible. (yes I have strange fears in artwork.)
This was fun and provided plenty of giggles so I'll be sure to do this more. We'll see though, tomorrow I get my wisdom teeth out. :c
great stuff man! your studies is really nice and love the last portrait![]()
i like your linesand great work on the eyes at post #5.
Really nice, i like the fox.. What you using... photoshop?
@rumpenstiltzkin- Thank you!
@.pc- Thansk! I remember being really proud of them. :3
@Shua-bot-Thanks~ I'm actually using Corel Painter. Photoshop has too many buttons >_>; (and is more than I could ever afford ;a; )
Another study from ref. These are really fun, but I think I want to do some more derp-face ones. Maybe I'll have to dig out the camera for that haha
in other news, drawing lady/man parts still makes me turn five different shades of red.
You've got nicely finished up drawings, I see that you can nicely spot your weaknesses and then fix them. Keep it going.

One more. Started this one at some point last year and it's been laying around half finished. Around the end finishing this felt like torture, and I think it shows. But I'm happy it's done.

A doodle, with no planning of any sort. Just sort of let it happen. I have no idea what's going on with the arms, but I'm guessing she's some kind of air mage. Or something.
