I'm a beginner and basically I suck at drawing. Hesitated for a long time before deciding to post here.
So here goes. Please be kind.

nice to see you make a sketchbook! welcome
iono about some people, but to my knowledge we here on ca do our best to be supportive when we see you doing your best to improve. :]
i really like your observational sketches. it looks like your focus was to capture the movement or character of your subjects, and you did that well.
the character illustration shows you know how to construct a figure, though i'm not sure what's a mistake and what's a conscious style choice. post more!

Oh thanks for stopping by! I wanted to improve, that's why I came.
I'm still not sure about my own style choice, hopefully I can develop them by learning here. Thanks a lot!
Hey, welcome to CA.., first of all, stop thinking you suck.., because you don't..

Oh thank you so much for the kind comments! I haven't expect people to reply to my sketchbook, since it still has so little in it. But will add more stuff soon!
As for my background.... I'm 20, currently studying illustration as a major. But I noticed I'm lagging quite far behind so I have a lot of catching up to do.

Cool style. I like your colors a lot. I'd like to see more.
All your heard work is definitely paying off; these are great!
well observed and sweet. no crits really, just keep it going, perhaps try drawing things or styles that are unlike anything youve done before, to stretch you. Certainly a lot to be proud of here.
Here are some stars

If you sucked, then I'm a pile of crap. D: Dont so awesome boleh kan?
Yo, killer sketchbook so far. I like all of your jam packed observational drawing pages, as well as you work from imagination. Your more completed and colored drawings are neat too, i like your use of color half-tone in a few of 'em.
Anyway, good stuff, keep it up! I'll be back for more

Nice style. Reminds me slightly of a toned-down Katie Rice.

For a beginner you are awesome! I'm thinking you might not really be a beginner, eh?
I like your style; loose & cartoony, nice! I hope to do more of that some day again.![]()
Keep it up!

@vineris: Thanks! I really should explore more, my drawings tend to be too laid back... I'll get better!
@Harmageddon: Well, I have a feeling that I have been learning to draw the wrong way, hence here I am... Was hoping to learn properly. Thank you for dropping by!
@Psychotime: Thank you for the kind comment!
Tried drawing from a fish-eyed view, hope I pulled it off... Though it felt as if it's rather rigid... Opinions please?
And college final major project that I'm working on...
Thanks again for dropping by!
yenee: well, I could get all philosophical about all the ways in which you could draw different yet great, but I think what you're getting at is a basic understanding of the "rules" such as anatomy, perspective, interaction of light with objects.. that sort of thing?
In that case: study. Study anatomy. Study lifedrawing. Study books on light and form, such as Gurney's book (colour and light I think), Bridgeman and possibly Loomis and Hogarth on anatomy insights.
Of course, you should develop your own style, so follow your heart.
But it won't hurt to check out great artists and learn from their approach, and steal whatever idea you find works for you.
I think the fish-eye piece works fine. Looks nice to me.
Maybe feels stiff because lot of your linework could loosen up a little?
