    I'd try a book that you read as a child and that still sticks with you. For me it would be The Blue Sword or the Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley. Horses, dragons, women warriors those books had the works...

    One I've been wanting to redo is the first Vampire Hunter D. It's a short book too.
