I love your drawings on the (textured?) paper.
You have some real magic happening in the colour of the paper and the pencil!
I would like to see you make a move toward colour, but I think your spirit
is telling you that bright colours are not in your heart, maybe muted is your game.
Get some black or dark coloured paper and some coloured conte, white reddy and dark browns and just go nuts.

beautiful renders. Are you using a white prisma-color on those or is that chalk? I was using a wire-bound recycled paper sketchbook for a while, The paper looks identical to yours. Are we using the same book?

ForScience: It is probably the same sketchbook, I just found mine at a local Barnes and Noble, I think. The white is...if memory serves, a General's white charcoal pencil.

Not much more to post right now, but wanted to put up these loose sketches, I may well paint over one or all of them at some point. I've got a fair amount of digital stuff I've yet to post, just kinda holding it to myself right now as I think on some things. But hopefully I'll get around to posting it up here in a small dump in the near future.

Hey Twolisten, I found your advice on the realistic portrait from imagination thread helpful despite the small amount of argument that surrounded it so wanted to say it was appreciated and check out your SB. Very cool confident pencil style, I really like your work.

I agree with Alternative about some intensive anatomy study might take it to the next level. Plus its always nice to see anatomy study on that brown paper with your sort of style

If you are ever so inclined as to offer advice on my SB you would be most welcome
