Ive got a question for ya Mohzart, when you were at the start of this sketchbook what work did you do, and research to help develop your costume design?

Good question. I just grew up drawing anime/manga art and somehow get influenced easily by their costume designs.
But now, I normally try to be distinguishable. Especially certain parts of the design to help push the sillouhette shapes more and make it interesting.

Ok, I havent been showing my studies on here because I was really busy in other challenges and competitions, not to mention freelance work.

Anyway, I decided to finally try and surpass the artist who I thought was way 'out-of-league'. But, I know I wont surpass, I just want his techniques and visuals.

Barontieri, I am now going to use your work in order to become a better artist!
So, for one to surpass a challenge, they must be the challenge.

I have spent about an hour or so on trying to get as many techniques in this as I could, will be developing this further and further and further until I am Barontieri... not quite haha

For sure. BC2 is the bomb, but I havent been on it for a month, hence all these artworks popping out.
And yes, I will topple them! Or one... I need to if I am to survive the harsh industries. Pushing on through! Thanks man.

About those illustrations of the guy in the orange jacket. Straight away they made me think of blade runner, is he like a re-interpretation of Deckard by any chance? Either way, I like his character.

Its great that you noticed Deckard in him. I was trying to create a combination of characters, Deckard from Blade Runner, Gillian Seed from Snatcher (He's based on Deckard, too), and Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop.

nice compositions! i know its hard to do that. as a general advice i wold try to have a little less black in your images, for me they tend to looks a bit too dark. Anyway keep it up man!

It's true, I have a hard time with that. Especially after I flatten everything and adjust levels and colours. Need more practice
