And here you have more LOTR-stuff! I did that speed painting in about an hour. I really need to get faster, better, more realistic and pretty much more awesome!
Greets,

Lava?
If yes, put some awesome intensive red in it! And don't forget yellow! you aren't drawing human skintones, you are drawing lava!
Nice update!
GO ON![]()
You're right. I wanted to do that anyway, just needed some time to work on a band logo for some cool guys :-)
Here's another update - I wanted to figure out how different things work, like the light and the shadows only using black and white for the sketch and overlayered sea blue / green. So it's about the values and especially about the light cone!
Flo
Its getting ways better dude!
The lava piece looks soo much better now! Powerful!
Last piece looks also great, do some fast water speedpaintings to get a better feeling for it.

Perhaps this helps you a bit.
Try adding some green or a second color and then put more contrast in the waterfall.
Go on, i want to see more!![]()

Did a lot new things and when my money arrives in the next few days I'm going to buy some watercolors, brushes and paper when I'm driving in a bigger city with my girl to buy some Christmas gifts. I'm not here for the next 5 days since I am in Civil Service this time and we need to go to a special school for that for the next days. I have my pencils, ballpens and pens with me, my Bridgman book and a lot of paper. Let's see what's happening.
Keep it up,
I totally miss CA.org that time :-(

Hi my friends!
I am back again and I am totally motivated. In the next few days I'm trying to find some cool online shops in germany which have an offer for good and cheap watercolour stuff or so. I'll check them out.
Here are some new updates. Did it all this week.
New update.
I need some bands to work for. Haha.
I totally love stuff like that.
I bought a pretty cheap set of watercolour just to try some things out and for now I can say this have been my first real attempts EVER. So they aren't very good, just some first practice.
Tried to do a brush a little like aquarells. I mean you can't simulate watercolors very good but techniquewise I mean (drawn with low opacity and mixing many colors etc.)
Hope you enjoy!
nice to see that you are still active
keep it up![]()
Yeah, good to be back.
Well your drawings did get better, and thats noticible!
When it comes to coloring a b&w picture, watch some old Dave Rapoza's videos on his stream. You'll see the entire workflow.
Good to see you're persistent! do more of those anatomy studies, try to break each part of the body as shapes, like that you can get a clearer idea of it.
EDIT: ups CA didn't loaded all the images, just saw that you did exactly that haha, keep it up!
Thanks Ice and John!
I know that Dave Rapoza stuff and I love his channel. It's very nice to have some advices and "how to's" all the time.
I need more anatomy, that's right. But I'm not sure what I need else. I have ideas what exactly to draw. More still life of humans or more studies from books, more animation or more standing still things.
Thanks a lot guys.
good progress dude, don't stop with the studies and watch tons of videos and read because reading is just as important as practicing.

Found that video some weeks ago and i LOVE it.
Lezard's Open Source Painting
And here some sketches I did today.
Some Michelangelo studies (the faces). The figure is just from a ref.
I can't tell you why but it's pretty much easier for me to copy and learn from Michelangelo than "learn" it from Bridgman. Or better said it feels so. Feels really good to me. Not sure why, what do you think? And where can I get more stuff from Michelangelo? Maybe books or so?
BTW I'm thinking about buying some recent Magic: The Gathering trading cards, because I played magic for 3 or 4 years and I wanna play again AND because of the pictures on it. I LOVE their Concepts / Illustrations / Paintings.

another update.
haven't had as much time as i wanted to have today.
the study in #318 is nice #319 is bit too rough... legs are fine but hands should have a bit more flow. Also the 6pack looks funny... you shouldnt draw muscles with contours but rather hint them or shade in the shadows of their edges... im also sure the sizes of each row should vary a bit.
Heyho Equilerex!
Thank you very much for your comment! I know that the muscles are too hard defined but its not a value study you know? Its just practicing what's where and how the progressions / proportions are.
Here are some things I did today, everything out of my mind except the "brown" face, that's a statue study.
Thank you very much!
Hey guys, here's an update I did right now in the early morning (02:30), because I had no time the last few days because of the whole xmas thing
Merry, merry christmas everybody!
From head without references.
Hey guys, I am back again. One year older, the new year just began.
I did not post for some days but I did something in art everyday, and if it were just photography or sketching. Here are some of my new drawings.
Have a nice start in the new year everybody!

Two heads.
Each one took about 20 mins. w/o ref. Just brain practice.
T-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-asser!
N-n-n-n-n-n-ice update
But thats all for today.
I thought i was lazy but you even beat me
Try to do more and practice the nose!
Seems to be the weakest point in my opinion! ~.~
Keep it up!

[*whisper* i updated too... take a look... *whisper end*]
Here are some little updates from the last days. I did mostly only photography the last days. So here are my drawings.
Good studies Flow! I like the one using that mirror drawing program whats it called?
Well done for all the variety of mediums as well!
Hey my friend! It's actually Alchemy! You'll find it here http://al.chemy.org/
And it's open source, so it is FREE! Have fun![]()
