    Shed in the woods

Hi people, first time posting in this section.. a bit scary at this point

I'd like some feedback on the colour palette and more importantly lighting. I'm looking for that light-piercing through the canopy look, though while obviously not all the shadows have been blocked in yet I'd like some idea as to how it would look like.

I plan to add more environmental detail like debris, features on the shed etc once I get most of the basics right. (though I've kinda gone ahead of myself with half of the shed with detail already painted on )

    Thanks!

Right now your values are a little off on the trees The upright shadow value plane should be darker than the shadow ground plane by one full value step The canopy should have more variety for the transluscent nature of the leaves and sub surface scattering of light.
Here are some examples of the effect, maybe it will give you some more ideas for the handling

i like the direction the last one is going. the white is rather overwhelming. i would add a bunch of really light trees in the background, or if you want it to be the edge of the forest, add some sky or a landscape or something. great work!

Thanks brown, though I'd like to keep the background relatively empty considering there's so much in the foreground and midground.
