    Hi, and welcome
    Good start mate. I sugest you start where everyone starts. Studies. From photo and life. Start with easy object and move on from there. Try and look at everything like you were to paint it. Look at colors and values. Find some good books on figure and go nuts study anything. The more you doo the faster you grow as an artist. If you wonder about specific technique just ask and I bet everyone at this forum will try and help, me included. Cheers

    Yes a good start, i like the dynamic little poses you have - and the cubes are good too. Maybe try a harder pencil as well to get an even smoother render.

    Hi,

    welcome to CA, you will see that having a sketchbook here really helps to improve your skills, I received a lot of good tips and criticism from other artists.
    Good that you do some studies, do as much as you can. Learning anatomy is essential to draw people successfully.

    Nice perspective on that second painting of a woman

    Keep posting

    Week ago I thought that I'll have more free time, well... Not. Hope things get better in next week . Today I'm uploading random doodles with some eye studies I made couple days ago, and a small bonus. The last image is a comic I made long time ago. I'm posting it because sometimes I feel exactly like the hero of this story, when I look over some of your sketchbooks . Sadly I didn't find comic source file so I putted translations below the text. Hope font I picked is readable.

    Another small update. I didn't felt like drawing today, but I forced myself and did some fast sketches. I think the weather is responsible for my laziness . Well. This Wednesday I'm going to a life drawing session, so I'll post some dead nature studies. Good for me, I guess .

    I realize that I need to go back to the basics and work out my lines and observation skill. I didn't work with big formats earlier, so I have lot of work to do.

    You started this sketchbook, so you
    did a big step in your life. You are starting
    to walk a path of no return. Just joking,
    but honestly you made a great decision
    by posting your work here. I already see
    that you are doing the right things, but I
    cannot advice anything special except for you
    to do all the basic things that we all doing or did.
    Visit my very first post in my sketchbook and look
    for some magic links, they will help you greatly in
    your art quest.
    Cheer up, stay healthy and post as often as you can.

    Thanks for the hint I'll check it out. It's always good to hear warm words, Thank you

    Today is another day when I exercised my hand, tried to get used to the big format and learning how to measure things. I'll be back to anatomy studies when I'll get these basics I have a problem with drawing ellipses I need to do more of them ;/

    Hey!

    Great start for a awesome sketchbook

    Last digital painting is a bit too soft.
    Try to use more hard edge brushes to give it a better look.

    Keep it up!

    I don't see much of a purpose in drawing a bunch of strait lines on a page
    I think Ramalooke was trying to get used to working in a larger format. maybe the lines were for loosening up.

    Like Bethany said, nice digitals. I think the dancing girl looks 'soft' although you used hard brushes because her outline is not well defined yet especially at the lighter areas where she almost blends into the background. But it should get better as you continue refining.

    Working on a big formated paper.
    That could be a good idea, I think that I never did a
    bigger drawing than and A3 paper format. How does it feel like?
    Interesting digital characters.
    A little nitpicking about them;
    They are too strong, done with hard brushes, and
    they kinda not go well with the backgrounds you put
    behind them. Either soften up the figures or put
    more contrasted backgrounds with textures.
    You are also laying too dark and sudden shadows
    under your figures.
    I like the dancing girl digital.Nice one.

    @devastacio
    I'm glad that u dropt inn and I'm looking forward to see your comments in the future. It works very motivational, cheers.

    @Silwynar
    I was playing with new brushes and didn't actually intend to finish it up, that’s why dancing lady came out so blurry. I'll try to push my next digital a little farther. Thanks you for your comment, I appreciate it

    @Bethany K.
    Your right. But. Making a straight line will not get me anywhere with my drawing, but it helps with hand confidence and really teach you how to do lines from your arm. It works for me at least.

    @krysjez
    I have a long way to improve my digital painting; I hope that I'll get better and better. Thanks for dropping inn.

    @LtPlissken
    Drawing on big format is really fun. At least at sketch stadium, when it comes to render, well it gets a damn boring xD those characters, well it was an experiment. I tried to do a subtle line art, well experiment failed Still need to figure it out how to make lines visible, but not to bold, hmmm... anyways, thank u for ur comment and support

    Today I'm continuing my practice with big formats; I did some perspective stuff, and a small still life study. With the last piece I tried to catch the main idea, and didn't intend to render it to much.

    Maybe you should try charcoal or some other medium, instead of
    graphite on that big format, cause you are right,
    it tends to become boring and requires plenty
    of time rendering such big areas.
    Looks interesting anyway.

    Nice stuff Funny cartoony chars, muscles, faces, great little dynamic poses, just what I like
    I'd love to see more not cartoony faces, the first in your first post looks so alive even in her sketchy and somewhat flawy state - the only part that isn't sketchy is the most important one, the eyes - good choice With some attention I think you could do really nice faces... But it's best if you do what you wish to do, of course.
    I hope you will update soon

    Thank you all for your comments and support. Sorry for lack of updates in last few days. I'm having a little problem with my motivation . At this point I'm sure that I suppose to start playing more with digital painting. Problem is that I'm not patient enough to such things. In other hand, drawing those crapy cartoony characters will get me nowhere. Ok I'm finishing being a self-pity ;P. Here is some stuff I forced myself to make. Next time I'll definitely post some studies ;P

    Hey there,

    I really do like those cartoon characters in post #26. btw dont make your highlights pure white(same goes for shadows - they are never pure black). for an example: if your midtones are warm try a cool color tint for the highlights.

    Hope you update more frequently mate coz every second counts. you said...

    Everything done out of fun and joy is excellent,
    and worth double more, as the forced ones.
    Do not think about art, as something that you must do.
    Loosen up a bit, and have some fun time, it is totally ok
    to be without motivation sometimes, you will get it back,
    no worries.
    Like the last postings, keep playing and experimenting,
    just like you did here.
