    Beginings of a Sketchbook

This is the start of my first sketchbook! I usually go by Nate, I am 21 and studying Animation. I am really excited to give this thing a try. Hopefully I will update it weekly so try and keep me accountable. I don't have alot of formal instruction so any comments or critiques would be greatly appreciated.

I'd love to get any feedback I can get. Even if you think my stuff sucks. Let me know

Thanks for the advice Koh. I am going to try and work some more figure drawing here soon. I dont particularly like it as much as environments so I dont play around with it as much. Mainly cause im not good at it yet.

Anyway here is a sketch I started in Alchemy.

Ok going off of what paranoiak has said, I started doing some self portraits in practically every media I could get my hands on. Sadly the first 3 dont look like me but the fourth one is a little better.

Self portraits are tough... The key to getting a face down is to measure a tonne. Measure the angles of your face, measure the distances between everything. Start light and keep adjusting.
It also doesn't hurt to crack out the ol' anatomy book and draw some skulls. When you know what all the little bumps and stuff are they're much easier to draw .
