It gets hard when you feel like your not progressing and have to make choices with your time like " do I go online and talk about art and make connections for the few hours ive got tonight or do I draw?"
You can isolate yourself very easily and get miserable when you dont see results. People will see the improvements before you will - trust me.
When they talk about it being hard they mean it, times like that *ARE* what they are talking about, and the solution likewise works; stop crying, keep drawing, move forward.
You really have to be a controlling, demanding prick with yourself and get disciplined and develop some thick skin.
Like everyone else I had to start (and still have to practice on a daily basis) getting over myself and what I thought I deserved.
If you wake up and make that decision everyday that your going to do this no matter the cost then you cant lose, because your failures along the way will only make you stronger and wiser.
But thats only if your willing to be teachable.
