Hello!

I'm just now starting my senior year of high school and am hoping to pursue a career in art. But I know to make it anywhere in this extremely competitive field, I need to try and pull myself out of the rut that I've created for myself.

I'm a self taught artist, and while I'm proud of that fact, I regret greatly that I missed out on the experience that comes with being in an art class. I draw mostly cartoons and animals, but again, I know that won't take me far in my career.

I guess I'm here to grow as an artist. All my life I've been told how wonderful my drawings are, with very little critique, which is what I need to get better. I know it's going to hurt at first, and a few tears may be shed, but I know in the long run, I'll come out of this a stronger, more well rounded artist.

If anyone could help me out getting started-I'm a bit lost on this big ol' site-I'd greatly appreciate it, and I look forward to hearing your suggestions and helping me improve in my work.

Thanks so much!
