    2xZ's workplace

Hey guys, I'm a fairly new artist longing for feedback and improvement.

I have a sketchbook in another site so this first post will be longer than usual I guess, please give me as much critique as you can, I really want to improve fast.

First time doing a painting by myself, values suck but thats why its practice right?

I decided I should practice painting so I began doing some studies with refs, first this 2 hour study + steps, maybe you guys can find errors in my process, please tell me if you do.

...and from yesterday I tried drawing an old man from mind, had to check some references to see how they usually look and god, so wrinkly... i learnt that I stil have a long way to go with faces, it looks pretty weird imho.

horrible shading I know, shouldnt try to shade like that.

Hi nice start. You grayscale stuff looks like it has nice values, but I think you need to work more with colors, for example in the first image, that very red sky should be present in some highlight on the characters, that would tie the image together. now it looks a bit like a lot of characters that don't belong in the same image. Also you should try varying the hues in the skin tones, the green guy just looks green other hues in the shadows and highlights would make it more interesting. The skintones look better in the male body. Hope this helps a bit and I didn't just babble.
