Talented Fantasy Artists sought by new Website

    Dear Artists,

Hello, my name is Brian Sheehan.

In introduction, I am the owner of LazyDwarf.com. LazyDwarf is a new business model that I am in the process of completing – the site will launch next month. Customers will be able to commission customized fantasy artwork via the website. The type of artwork would be full color character graphics, deliverable in EPS, JPG, and PNG file formats.

I am currently trying to find talented artists that would like to partner with me. The particular skill-set I am looking for is someone who is knowledgeable about the fantasy genre, including current and past games. For example, if a client requests a WoW Troll Shaman or a D&D Thief, I need the artist to be intimately familiar with these concepts and how to portray them within a short amount of time.

The site already has funding and will be advertised both on and offline. I am particularly keen, though, on finding talented fantasy artists that are dedicated, reliable, and willing to put in the effort. Financially, there is no risk for the artist. All costs for the website, including marketing, are my responsibility.

Before I go into further detail, though, I am wondering if you’re interested in this concept? If so, I would need to know the following:

    1) How long would it take you to create:

    a) A black & white sketch?
    b) A "standard" color illustration? (i.e., visually appealing, but not a large amount of detail)
    c) A "premium" color illustration? (i.e., very detailed fine artwork, of the highest standard)

    2) What fee do you feel is accurate and fair for creating each type of illustration?

I do need to make decisions on which artists to hire within a short period of time… so, if you are interested, your prompt reply via e-mail would be sincerely appreciated.

    Thanks again,
    Brian
