    TAD Faculty Introduction: Sam Brown

Hi, My name is Sam Brown. I studied Industrial Design at the University of Cincinnati and currently work for massiveblack as a concept artist. I've been at mb for 4 years now and have learned so much working with these guys. Honestly I don't have much teaching experience but hopefully there's something I can bring to this.

Here is some work. I have some more up on a blog. Check out http://sambrown36.blogspot.com if you'd like to see some more.

Oh shit!!! Sam Brown's in the house.

Sam is way too humble. This guy knows what's up. And he makes super sexy robots.

Sam, much like Carl, has got the in'net goin nutz.

    ahh ahh ahhh ahhh

For realz tho, Sam is a supa' fine and talented integral part of our fine tuned, hand crafted, Massive Black operation. His addiction to robots is severe, we're planning an intervention where we purge his portable hard drives of endless robot variation psds and force him to paint a still-life without hand grenades.

Sam Brown, is as humble as it gets, but make no mistake, beneath the beard lurks the heart of a beast. a beast for LEARNING!

    whatever that means.

but seriously, this guy is a strong back, and someone who i admire most for his fearlessness and willingness to give everything he does 110%. and it shows.

ive watched this guy grow and grow over the past 4 years, and its been a blast.

hes also a very talented photographer and graphic designer..is ther eanything he cant do?

    Sam,

Thanks for posting this stuff. Your work is excellent. I really appreciate the range. Would love to see some of your photos posted! They are killer as well.

Sam first joined Massive Black after attending the Prague workshop in 2005. He was fresh off working for Hot Wheels and had a beautiful portfolio of design work which was outside the games industry, content wise. He joined the team and adapted quickly, taking on challenging work, production design, and refining his photography and oil painting. He is a good honest guy, with a strong work ethic and skills in many media. He has since moved on to lead in new intellectual property development at Massive Black while continuing to refine his skills working on blockbuster projects across the entertainment industry.

Sam we are lucky to have you. You should list some of your credits! There are not a lot of concept gurus out there with such a list. Really. You have been a joy to work with. Thanks for all the help over the years.
