    é-craps level-upp

Hello. Making a sketchbook to record my progress and improve...guess theres no other reason why ppl would post here hehe. Though I just signed up, Ive been coming here back and forth since maybe 02 or 03. I had a different account name at that time. Im so bad with sticking with one name. Bah, level ups need to happen!

Veronica84 - It was made in photoshop. Thanks!

The first 2 are train sketches. Done on the Hanzomon and Tobu Isesaki lines Tokyo/Saitama.

Recently Ive been trying to get more into mechanical designs but feel quite lost. So much I want to learn.

veronica 84 - a million! such a exaggeration lol. I graduated from art school just a few years back. I think what can kick our ass with art is not having anybody around to share it with. I feel that having art comrades during school was more important than the school itself. Ive moved to another country so Ive had to make new friends, but Ive met nobody who has had the same motivation as my art buds back home. Hopefully you can find some peers close by to help keep that inspiration high.

FightingSeraph - Ill definitely keep that in mind. Thanks!

Neovirtu - The first two were done live on the train, the rest from my head.

Mokhi - It is an honor. You've been leveling up here. I hope to follow your lead

    Thanks everyone!

More Train stuff. Usually I draw their backsides since it negates any awkwardness lol. The only time I do draw the front is when they're sleeping!

Tryin some more mecha exploration. I should probably do a small project with these to get some paints going.

The last is a 2.5 hour commission study from the first post.

Well it wasnt really a million but close enough... I was at kids and young adults artschool at the age of 6-18 so about 12 years of art but now when i havent drawn or done any paintings for a loong time feeling but rusty.. but I do have friends and family who kicks my ass for not doing it and cheers me for dooing it also. But now when I've started on this forum i think ill me more inspired (here is hoping )hhaha

What country did you move too and where from? Has it been very difficult for you? Are you glad you did it? Sorry to bombard you, but I've always lived in Canada, and I want to move to a capital with more art culture and opportunities.

Wah! I love the mecha so far. It's such a hard thing too do, I hope you have some success with it.

veronica84 - I always wished I had started earlier. Felt I got serious about art too late. I envy you! haha You'll definitely get more inspired here. If your close to one of the Insomania events, you should go. Your head will explode with inspiration lol

Mokhi - Ah, no prob. I moved to Japan from Southern California, USA. Im happy I did and not at the same time. Its a great experience but I left all my friends and family back home. Having my art buds around was a big inspiration too. We still connect and visit each other though. There were some language and transportation difficulties when I first got here, but that pans out with time. Id recommend staying in another country just for the experience.

    More train and mechanical studies.

Great work. I like the tone of the paper of ur sketchbook. It is intersting. Also, i like your characters, the androids remind me of Mass Effect and your females remind me of Soul Calibur. Some great stuff here. So u draw from observation while ur on the train? How can u see the subject long enough to get a decent drawing of them? Are u just really fast? comment back please
