    On my way hopefully.

Hey my names James and i'm getting on a bit now and i'm now 20! But i have been looking through these forums since i was 15 but always felt very intimidated by the talent found here and i still am but its time for a hunk of action!
But recently i've just made a huge decision and left my animation course at university to take illustration because its what i should of taken since its my true passion.
So enough about me i was hoping i could get some help off you guys and gals to help me on my long journey to were i want to be. I'll keep the thread updated as much as i can and it will hopefully encourage me to be more productive as well.

One final thing i must say is i was also intimidated by something else but it wasn't a bunch of talented people this time it was the program called photoshop so i've just recently started using it because i do like digital media and i really feel as though i need a go grasp on it since its so widely used today as well so my digital pieces are quite experimental.

    Thank you.

@suman gv Cheers, well i was scared of it if i'm honest then i started learning Maya and then i didn't have much time for my 2d art, but now i do! Just experiment around a bit it seems to be a lot more user friendly than maya.

Here's some super hero stuff, first off was just for fun when it popped into my head. The second was for decorating the first years class room, pencil, inks and final digital version which was then put onto foam board and cut out with a Gotham city background. An finally this sketch was also for fun because i have this theory that Lex Luther actually hates superman for his hair because Lex was cursed to be bald forever!

@cgfelker Thanks, ye a lot people seem to like that one. Just one day i was walking back to my apartment and i just thought 'I want to draw a happy egg shaped boy with a giant lollipop'.

Just a sketch of one of favorite comedy duo's, Mitchell & Webb.

P.S Hope everyone has a good new year!

The Hulk/Spiderman one made me lol.

Definitely get in some anatomy studies and stuff. The pic that's the thumbnail shows a lot more of the messy-but-good thing that is popular around here. ( I don't really understand art terms...still.)

    I use MSPaint.

@Kaileighblue Thanks, the comic book drawings are rather old. The reason why my photoshop work is messy is because i've only just started to use photoshop and i'm still trying to figure out how to define images along with my artistic knowledge as well.

Alright so i've mainly been busy looking for work so i can study illustration but i've managed to make time to keep going. Reason there's only one hand study is because i had to go before i got to do anymore and i was in the mood for hands!
