First self portrait with mirror and I used charcoals for years ago last time. No perfect but considering these things it's not too bad. Hoping to update time after time

the light area in the eye that would be dark in reality is throwing it off for me, but i still like it a lot. cool colors, love that blue. keep it up =)

I skipped a day. Today I used oilpastels. First I slightly sckethed with pencil.

I did draw one tonight but can't take a desent photo of it now, so I have to try again tomorrow.

I thought the link below might answer the mirror question. Its a pretty strong endorsment for using a mirror.

I guess I worked this more than hour but don't really know, cos I'm not very good watching clock while I'm working. Not a good photo but it gives the picture. This is not even near perfection but I'm getting there slowly.

Wow I don't know what happened but last month just disappeared and I realised that I haven't done anything. Just lots of packing and unpacking.
I did another pic from a photo, but I promise to do the next ones with mirror

Been sick for a week now, doesn't feel too good. But here is what I did today

some great progress here, I love the 2nd to last one (in red) it has really good form and energy (though id lift the right eye a tad as its running away slightly) The towel head one is good too, it reminds me of girl with a pearl earring. Would also like to see some more pencil and biro sketches too as they have come along nicely

Thank you Fiori You are absolutely correct, the shadow side has some twist in it. And the girl with a pearl earring assosiation was a bit intentional Biro was a new word for me. That one sketch is done with a thin marker, not a ball-point-pen. If that's what you ment.
