    Lightbulb my sketchbook

here's my sketchbook. I'm a sixteen year old girl and a junior in high school. I'm trying to draw at least one thing every day. I dont have a scanner that works so everything here will probably be digital. What im really looking for here is critique because I want to get better.

Heres something i worked on today, it took me probably 45 minutes. I used adobe photoshop cs3 and my wacom graphire3 tablet. Its a work in progress, as you can see. i will probably complete it later today.

Nice; I like how you rendered the mouth. The eye and eyebrow are a bit small for the face, and the upper half of her head needs to be enlarged.

SaintAsh - thank you. I know what you mean about the eyes, I always have that problem. I tried to work on it but im not sure i succeeded.

RatanBala - thanks! Is Adobe Painter anything like Corel Painter? I've tried working with Corel but Im not very good at it.

I worked for a while longer on this. I have no idea how to "paint" hair. I think im going move onto a different project cause Im tired of looking at this one

I havent updated in a long time, sorry about that. I had some problems with my tablet so I couldnt do any digital work and I didnt know where I could find a scanner. I have been drawing every day, but on paper with a pencil. Hopefully I will be able to put up some of my traditional media stuff soon. Here are some quick sketches i did today...

Very cool portrait, did you ever finish it? I've been reading lots of tutorials online about painting and this is the best hair one I've found. http://features.cgsociety.org/story_...?story_id=3174 Nice sketches, did you sketch from your mind or from reference?

Aw broken tablet? boooo Well, atleast that did not stop you from pursuing art! That portrait looks like a great start and I would love to see it completed. Look forward to seeing more =]

ValUST - no I haven't done any work on it, but now that I havent touched it in a while I can see all of the flaws, so I might get around to correcting them one of these days. As for the sketches, when I'm doing really basic figures I do them from my mind, but if I want to do anything really tight then I use a reference. these ones I just did from my head. Thanks for the link too, Ill check it out.

geeshin - Thanks! yeah, I actually prefer doing sketches traditionally and i usually only do "paintings" with my tablet, so it wasn't that bad, I just couldn't update here... but it's all good now.
