hey,everyone's doing some really great work here,everything looks so cool,i was so impressed!this is such a cool thread...i've been inspired and now i wanna join in!how do i put a picture in my post?am i just stupid?

craig...you have to get your images hosted on the web some where...i use photobucket.com. go to photobucket.com and set up an account its FREE..then you hyperlinke it by copying the image address from photobucket and then paste it here. its easier than it sounds.

Goran...thats amazing. I heart it. What are you using there? Marker...and acrylic for the white?

Youkill-looks pretty feirce to me.

Here is the paint rough. up to this point i painted black on a new layer above the drawing and erased it out. time to move on to the next step; painting with white and greys. Its going to be hard to keep this one clear i think...

Mephisto-Thanks man, love your stuff. First I put some ink on the paper, I am using Talens inks, cheapy`s. Then I pull out the stuff with pantone markers, just two tones, not more than that, I am still little bit colorblind. The shine on the tentacles was done in prismacolors. The rain is funniest part, it is done with Pentel correction pen, when you drawing the lines very fast there is that pointilistic effect, try it. Hope my explanation makes sense. Cheers.

goran: are those inks that you use easy to obtain? I know El Coro did a tut with inks and other media, but his inks were really hard to find.

Also, would prismacolor markers work?

Sapphire--thanks man. It is the paper man; the paper has already basic color so you just go wit pantone tria marker from there pulling out light and shadow. The inking is done with Staedler mars graphic 3000 duo markers. They got brush at one end. White is Prismacolors,Winsor and Newton designers guashe and Pentel correction pen for the highest highlights. Paper is from my sketchbook, it is some recycled cheapy and I like it.

I hear that with the tria markers you only
have to buy the light ones and do color
overs to make it darker...do you know if that's
true or not? Also are those graphic 3000 markers
anything like the Tombo Brush Pen...cause you
said they have a brush on the end?

ShamrockSpecial-I draw my rough first, with pencil, then I am going over it with broad nib of tria marker so it smudge pencil into the paper,then I erase the rest of the pencil,the first hand of inking is done with staedler tria markers and yes,they are like Tombo brush pen. The real inking is done with pentel tradio pen.It has elastic nib so the line is not boring. then I am going with prismacolors and guash.I really hope this make sense.
