As dragons are popular around here, I give you a slightly different slant on the topic. It was made from a mix of sculpy firm and premo.The beast rests on a base of Spalted Beech,which sets him of rather nicely.
I was going to do a pillar of humanoid skulls/bones but choose instead to go for this simple pillar in aged gold. As I intend to do a series of three different draco skulls one will use this idea.
I have not posted as I did not want to inflict my hidious phone cam shots on everyone .Here is the new camera! ( what do you mean you thought this was taken on a phone...) Enjoy friends! next up all things Cthulhu..

Only one thing: some big spike looks like a carved wood or... but that's just my opinion.
If it had body it would be great!

Hey guys thanks for the kind words.Its great to have such sculptors comment. Your right theo, that spike in the middle doesnt seem sharp enough. Tell you what happend when I was making the armature I put slightly thick steel under the spikes where I should maybe have used a thinner part so I could sculpt it to a better point. * looks worried* hmm I might actually grind it down with my dremmel and redo the the detail and paint before it gets cast.
The eyes were a debate with myself a bit, wasnt sure about them for a few days. Now they have grown and I rather like them.
