Wow!!! This is excellent work!! I actually like the BG mech with more muted colors. The fact that it blends a little more with the rest of the background lends itself to the creepiness factor (which is perfect for a foe). Your use of the lens flare is great. I didn't even realize it until reading a comment in another post...and I usually catch those. So, great job with its use. I don't mind the motion blur either. Those elements don't detract from the piece at all IMO. Plus, however much you use those elements in your work is up to you. There's no 'too much' or 'too little' if it works for you, it works for you. Great job!

Great sense of motion! I also like how simple the image is, and how the colors take what could be a very harsh design and make it very easy on the eyes.

Great work, man! Lots of energy, and I really love the foreshortened perspective on the fgd character. Really puts you in the heart of the action.

The only thing I would nitpick is the lensflare. A standard PS lensflare used raw like that really cheapens the work. In the industry it's considered really amateurish to use it like that, which your work most definitely is not.

There's a really great lens flare tool in KPT, which believe it or not is still available from Corel. I allows you to control & customize every aspect of the lens flare, down to the unsightly lens reflection circles. Really worth the money, I use it all the time.

Another tip would be to fill a layer with black, set it to screen and then render your lensflare on that separate layer. That way you can gaussian blur or motion blur it to take the "curse" off the reflections while still maintaining the colorshift it gives to the image. Alternately you can also erase them away.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. Keep it up!

    Phil.

excelent work, I like a lot how you use tyhe tints and shades and the saturation to create that atmospheric perspective, it really gives a sense of depht, excelent work all around, IMHO the image will greatly benefit from removing the lense flare effect kind of thing that you added there, It kind of takes a lot of attention away from the mane focus of the image which is the characters, as soon as the image opened in my screen that was the first thing I saw

Great composition, loads of dynamism, it's so good it looks like someone pressed pause during a battle scene in a very good sci-fi movie.
