---Share The Awesomeness That Is Your Desktop---

I'm not too sure whether anybody else is interested, but I'm going to start a thread on "what does your desktop look like?".

so all you have to do is use the print screen button "Prt Sc" and then post your desktop and list your OS and maybe what tablet you use

    >EDIT here is thread created by Jacobweiq, A wallpaper thread for posting and sharing wallpapers :

Vista Ultimate 64-bit on Dell XPS 16 laptop, 1366x768. I use an old 1024x768 Dell monitor from a desktop for a dual-monitor sometimes. It's handy when working on art and chatting on AIM. I use a Wacom 6x8 Intuos 3 tablet.

The theme is Vista Mac OS X. The dock is Rocket Dock with the Mac Leopard skin and a few Mac icons. I only have the Mac version of reflective icons for stuff like the folders and popular programs.

Neither of the screenshots are of Macs.

With some searching, you can find some amazing skins... like those that look like the recent Mac OS Leopard, or even the really old ones. DeviantART has some really good customization themes.

Hey Guys, really cool desktops so far

For mine I use Rocketdock for my Mac type dock at the bottom of the screen and for the clock I use a program called Rainmeter and a theme for it called 10 foot hud\clock.

If you download either of these programs just go to deviant art and type in the name of your respective program and then you'll find hundreds of great themes to use

I think the thread title is fine like it is

I got those (and plenty more, I rotate often) from interfacelift.com, loads of pretty hi-res wallpapers there. Oddly enough, I've always preferred some beautiful sceneries, well, just photographs in general for my desktops instead of any kickass art or such. It's soothing

These were the smallest resolution (for mobile) I could find for my current two wallpapers. Didn't wanna drown the thread with huge pictures!

Hey guys cheers for all the desktops,
and I'm glad some of you liked the rainmeter and rocketdock programs,
can't see how I got along without them

Demo: hey man, I do know it is possible to change your background every so often using windows vista, not too sure about XP though.
here is a link to a tool that changes the background using images from a specified folder :

    http://gallery.live.com/liveItemDeta...b310&bt=1&pl=1

hope this helps, If I find one for XP I'll let you guys know !

I rarely ever look at my desktop at home , there are always applications on top! At work, the wallpaper can be seen when I lock my station (to prevent neighbors announcing that I'm buying donuts while I'm away.)

Aaaaahh, scary Is that you in your avatar, by the way?

As for the Rainmeter, I'm really loving the date and time theme you use Bagg. I'm on a laptop though, so I guess a battery meter would be important. I'll have to look around for a similar skin with the meter.

    Very cool and entertaining thread.

Demo I also use a dual monitor setup. To get different bgs on each screen, I am using this program called "DisplayFusion". Also pretty sure there might be freeware that automatically changes your wallpaper on XP and Vista machines, a quick google search lead to "Caledos Automatic Wallpaper Changer", pretty sure there are a lot more.

Here is mine, with a lot of desktop clutter . Almost never look at it. Some info:

XP Media Center Edition 32 bit
Vistamizer installled (for the Vista Look)
    Object Dock
Free Launch Bar (Quick Launch replacement)
Viglance for the Iconized taskbar programs.
