    Newborn- Ideal

Hi everybody. I decided to enter this contest just for the fun of it. I looks like there is some top competition here but hey I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have a very clear concept of what i want. The Idea is to illustrate the creation by machines of the ideal human. My intention is to add the elements and details that will illustrate more this concept later on.

This is the image corresponding to my last post.

    I'm nice. I'm awesome.

I know I'm suppose to be modes but I'm just too honest.

I'm sure someone is going to come up with some reason that I'm not but that is the only way that the can deal with the fact that they are not as good.

I did some more work on my initial sketch. I'm staring to like it. After this I'm moving on to color and value. I could use some advice.

I started to work on the skin and face. I think I have a very solid start on that. Now I'm going to start working with the background and the other elements.

I like the idea a lot and your rendering is very good, but I don't think it's self-explanatory enough, at least at this point. Maybe it's just a matter of missing details. Before I read your description, it just looked like she was trying to break free from the machines.

hey there, i agree with leonor, she looks as she s running from something. after i read your description immediatly thought about industrial robots. i mean when you see industrial robots putting a piece together they have "arms" and senzors that tell and measure.

perhaps a robotic arm that assembles and glues some part of the human would make the idea clearer .

sorry, there is just nothing much in this image that communicated the 'newborn' topic.
It just looks like a half naked chick with mechanical parts.

It looks nice tho.. and i love naked chicks more than anything.
So no offense but i feel like in every contest, the first thing 60% of all kids do is painting a half naked chick with mechanical parts.

I know what you mean. There are a lot of elements missing so I'm not worry. I'm just making sure that the basics are set. I made her look like she is trying to brake free from the machines because that seen to me like a natural reaction of been born.

    Thanks for the post.

Well I don't want to use traditional robotics but I very much see you point. Right now you can't see a lot but if you look at the sketch you will be able to see some bones for the legs and arm. This are part of the things I'll use to show the flesh and bone been assemble on a molecular level.

Thanks for the post this is helping me a lot.

    Whaaaaat? Is she naked?

Don't be sorry . I'm just trying to get down the anatomy but by the end mos of the body is going to be very bloody looking or transparent. Don't know yet. I can tell you right now that I'm changing the skin color. But I'm sure you understand that this is a work in progress.

For the naked chick with mechanical parts part. I see your point. I'm planning to fix this by modifying the robotics that are making the human making them look like a different kind of technology.

Thanks for the help.I appreciate it.

It's early days, but that is some great flesh there. Looking forward to seeing it progress.

I'm not convinced about some things but some ideas came to mind that i think will improve the image. However I could go on a entire different direction or change some things. The machines design for example.

    hey there,
it looks much better now. the robotics look really cool from my point of view. right now the thing that to me looks weird is the hair just doesn t match the whole mechanical look ... perhaps some wet hair that hangs out in strands, or no hair or just simply adjust the flow of it. (medusa like hair made out of mechanical parts ? with eyeds at the end ? just babbling here ) )

It does make sense she is trying to break free while being born. Perhaps having her looking at the machines or herself surprised with her own existence with translate it better. Just a thought.
