Hey sure Sage! here you go - hope this works uploading it to this sketchbook ...whoa that's kinda huge, should be high res enough lol! Look forward to seeing what you do with it - I'll have to do some more of that character and really develop it. Enjoy!

P.S. anyone else see this and would like to have a go at inking/ CGing whatever - no problem as long as you ask first

HAH! It's like Venom is saying "Hey gorgeous, why don't you just climb into my mouth and all will be well." Peter is totally fallin' for it too.

Oh man, this stuff is great. Your artwork oozes style and creativity, I really like it! I would recommend doing some abstract creature creations, see what you come up with.

Sage: hahaha cool - the story teller as always you're half right - venom is certainly being cheeky but peter is supposed to be miffed lol - thanks dude

Davezilla & Matthew: Thanks guys! really appreciate the comments - have checked out your sketchbooks also - nice stuff and good progress both - keep up the good work and keep posting art

inked versions of the above to be added soon hopefully

Heyo The7Artist7 - Thanks for checking out my sketchbook.
Man I really gotta tell you, the perspective you captured in post #2 on the 2nd drawing is bad ass. I wanna see more crazy stuff like that.
Perspective distortion like that has always something I struggle with.
Hope you stay on and keep posting.

Heh Thanks dude - I've never had any training with perspective - just picked up a few basics ages ago and for some reason was one of those things that my brain could understand

Maybe I should do a mini tutorial / 'perspective guidelines according to me' lol

    anyhoo - must work!

Hello! - I am still around - life just is hectic ...still

Anyways - here is a start on inking one of those new spidey sketches in photoshop with the pen tool. This is a new experience for me and I must say so far photoshop inking via pen tool is very cool (I don't know why it feels better than inking via pen tool in Illustrator as that is my normal program but hey!)

Yes I know there are one or two things that need adjusting but please feel free to comment.

    Thanks

your spidey stuff real cool, i enjoyed watchin em
I guess u paint all your stuff, maybe u should vectorize it in illustrator.
it should give it a more cartoony look so the style comes out better

    keep posting

Hey Graf - thanks ...I don't know why I'm drawing so much spidey stuff when I get to do art for fun at the mo - I guess he just rules lol! funny you should say about Illustrator - that's actually my main program and I'm in fact attempting to get better at Photoshop. Will have to vectorize some stuff and post it on here

Thanks Sage! Appreciate the props dude - inking is an area I've shied away from so much I need to develop some skills and methods to keep that creativity flowing rather than bogging down and getting bored. Really hope I get some spare time to break out some more for you CA peeps.

I found some old character designs the other day - I'll try to get them scanned and upload them today.

Hey all - Just tried out Livetrace in illustrator - with a little tweaking the results are not too bad considering the original! Little tricky to work with the result but interesting

    See ya around all

Took a little time out to draw this morning - feels good to be doing something for fun again (not that my commission work isn't fun but y'know )

Really starting to feel excited about this style I'm starting to develop - feels 'me' - I do loadsa kiddy cartoony 'me' stuff for my commission work but also always wanted to have a slightly more comicy 'me' ... it's like any artist should be able to learn hogarth or loomis and get good at it, even awesome - but nothing is like saying 'hey - this is MY style and MY expression of artyness and emotions and etc blah, blah, blah lol!

Now I don't think this new style is anywhere near sorted yet but just feeling comfortable with it and happy to develop it as mine

Maybe I'm just feeling weird today hehe

anyways - hope y'all doing well and lemme know what you think

it's 100% created in Adobe Illustrator - very happy with the way I set up the brush for sketching

    Nice self portrait. XD
You have really cool perspective and energy in your art. You should do more of Stickman. He looks awesome.
I also want to see more messy stuff from you. Like http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1203680589 Except not just a blob of scribbles. If that makes any sense.

Hey FearSelf thanks man - Yeah - go stickmen! I love em as you can get so much energy and character (actually a great tool for developing flow and pose) Hehe messy art I think I get it - stuff that is just pure expression without paying much attention to exact detailing as you create - you inspired me to do this tribute to the Boston Celtics comeback in game 4 of the NBA finals (and one of my all time most respected players Mr Ray Allen )

    Thanks Santon - appreciated

Yea that stick man that Ray Allen is stepping on is expressing a lot of pain.
Wooo I inspired something! That's a first for me. Keep up the messy art!

What happened to spidey's head? O.o
