I also have to chime in and praise your wonderful sketching-talents. You really have a knack for drawing people, and your poses seem to be great as well. I will definetely keep an eye on this SB - keep up the good work, man!

motives and Arthe, always nice to hear words like those. Seems they managed to pick me up off my skinny ass, but please be honest crit wise!

Well, another weekend gone and another small segment of my liver written off to the greater good (vodka), and no new pencils. Seems im more and more scatter brained these days. What I do have is something that will eventually lead to another full pencil.

After sketching and scrapping about 6, I eventually got a gesture that I liked, and that worked.

Nothing special, just a shitload of loose lines waiting to become something of greater importance... Anyways, if i'm not wasting my time doing homework for a change tomorrow, Il start on the pencil of it.

looking forward to the crits, Later

Exams are finished, and hoping to post a couple things soon. This sketch keeps me alive during anat practice. Do a little anatomy study, then practice rendering. Its start stop, but good practice. Using a ref for it, though not very heavily

Looking forward to C&C as always,

Davi, Thanks for the Kind words. Wasn't meaning to say that that was my anatomy study but something i do in between studies to make it a lil more interesting. Cwn, See what you mean and thanks for pointing it out, will do my best to fix it when I move to pencil.

Fantastic work considering how little experience you have! I'm jealous You have an awful lot of potential here. I'd like to see some work from imagination, if you can carry these skills across it should be stunning stuff. You better keep this up

TheDonut, thanks dude. There are a couple things here drawn from mind, but not very imaginative. The assassin being the most I rate... But, exams are over and no I have to time to sit down and start drawing what I want to.

Well, last day of school tomorrow, so I'l keep telling myself that il work lots during the holidays.

Anyways, a couple minute (think like 18 min) play around in painter. Wasting time and deciding whether I want to learn painter or not more than anything.

    cheers.

Well, first day of holiday and some useless unwinding crap in between webdesign.

2nd one is tribute to all those who think of farmers with pitchforks and 9MM's when they think South Africans... heh anyways a real quicky - something like 15 mins , too much IRC... makes me paint weird shit. Chick on the left of the gestures is reffed, the rest random 4 AM brain leakage.

The gestures look good. Good line quality and control. Keep going with that and try to get full forms using only lines. Draw lightly and accentuate the curves and muscles using darker lines, but DO NOT RENDER!

Keep at it man, you are improving.

Cool sb so far frost. The gestures are pretty nice, and the anatomy is good overall as well.

One thing that really popped out at me though was your very messy photoshop rendering, which contrasts with your nice and smooth pencil rendering. Try using the big fuzzy brush more, or smudging some lines to get a better shading, and try to work out your outlines more with a hard brush to avoid the overly sketchy feel you have. Sketchiness works to a degree, but it just looks messy in some of your work, and detracts from the content.

You're off to a very good start at 16. (age isn't important but by this time most people havn't had the oppurtunity to pick up formal art education, so clearly you have innate ability) Your digital work is even strong. You shouldn't have trouble at all, just sketch everday.

I accept the SSG e-vite so we're sketchbuddies now, you'll hear more from me in the New Year

(too many parties in December, so I might be scarce)
