This is my first sketch. I made it red so I can see where I blurred and where I didn't. I'm trying to stray away from anime, and I appreciate the c&c's
Anime addicted???? Good eye!! Want to see the rest....!
Thanks soo much guys! I'm working on it more
Is that red thing an eye? is it human? i would suggest some construction lines to help you gauge the form better, if you want a paint over let me know, it wont take much for you to get where you want to be.. just keep posting ;-)
Part deux! I just totally reshaped the eye and added color and attempted at shading.
The thing is, I can't find guidelines anywhere on Gimp -shot-. If I had Illustrator, this would be so much better =]
But, alas, I am a poor girl. Here ya go!
NOTE: If you really want to, you can do paint-overs. I think I learn better that way =]
Mooooooreeeeeeee
There isn't too much to comment on, but from what I see so far, i would advise you to stay away from the "smudge" tool. instead use the opacity for rendering.
I figured this image would help explain things better, its not the best tut.. but its ten mins that i hope will help ya get going ;-)
Basically you should be attempting to show form through value change. By giving the eye some supporting material (construction lines help here) it will help your eye with that all important first read....
peace...
Thanks sooo much for the tut!!! I'll try it as soon as midterms are done -dies-
Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
