thanks Arne, that's a very nice thing to say considering this site, which is a treasure chest of cool.

thanks to you venli and also Raskolnikov. here is another piece for you to hopefully enjoy.

i suppose i should say how relaxing it is to make these pieces and listen to music. my other artwork is so over rendered that to bleed pixels on the digital canvas is refreshing.

Brilliant. The little flourishes add so much to your already brilliant compositions. And it's been said before, but this is the best use of Clip-Art I've ever seen. Every piece has a narrative quality that is as unmistakable as it is elusive. They make you want to look for more. I can't wait to see more of these, they are all incredible, from concept, to composition, to execution...

here are a few more pieces over the last week. i hope that it is as fun to look at as it is to create. using only black and white is very liberating and so relaxing. i trust that it isn't still boring to see something without color - considering all the great painters on this forum.

thank you swordofdivinefire, i need to get some more clipart images to use so i don't have to keep cycling the olds ones i think. i tried to make some sense in the pieces although they're mostly just moody sketches. if you read the file name titles, it is my attempt at being clever.

thanks slooie, although it was certainly not my intent to hurt anybody! >___<

These are really cool... I dig this thread a lot.

If I were to critique anything it would be the compositions. Some are good, but in many of them you've got high-contrast cool things all over the place. As a result there's no cohesiveness... the eye doesn't quite know how to move or where to rest. It's a subtle thing, but I think this would be the direction to go in to take them up another notch, which I hope you do.

love this style man, i can totally picture these on band flyers(that sort of sounds bad, but i mean it in a good way). I think its because some of the posing reminds me of Derek Hess.

    keep it up though!

btw, if you want to continue doing these pieces, could I please request you make a sketchbook? I just like to ask this of people since someone who spends a week on each piece of their art should have the same chance to be seen as a person who has the ability to bump their thread to the top of the forum multiple times between each post.

Wow, I just am absolutely amazed on how you took pure black and white with some greay , and made such beautiful pictures. I love how The black and just stands out in white and it displays such a vibrant image, without so many colors!

Hey dude, I absolutely love these. May I ask how you went about the figures, did you use the pen tool to get the crisp lines and just take your time with that or did you just blast them out by painting? These NEED to be sold in a print set with some nice packaging and presentation. Peace.

These are so fun. The graphic style of yours is truly amazing. These B/W silhouttes have some taste

wow, great style man, I've often tried and failed to get such nice defined figures using simplistic styles - check me out in the critique center
