Imnop - Thank you very much

Yuk - I just cant help but think that if you aren't already, then you will be very successful with your art. Now im no expert, but by my calculations every post you have ever made on ca.org has had some new work in it, normally 2 or 3 new works (sometimes 4 or 5!)
Ive never seen anybody with that kind of work ethic and dedication! You have developed your own nice style (i think i could pretty easily pick out one of your paintings on a page of random concepts), and I would think you must be looking very employable. Do you ever do any more refined versions of your paintings?
So my question is, who is your supplier, and what kind of mix keeps your pumping out so much work! You are painting these faster than my browser can load them!

Yes sometimes, for exemple this post :
The first version, posted in this thread

    And the last one:

Not really finished, I want a balance between a speed and finished.
I dont know if I succeeded or not, but I work for this

yuk, I'm thinking of getting a DS for the sole purpose of putting colors on it and having a really portable digi pad (my laptop and my graphire tablet are just too big). The question I have is this: is it relatively easy to get the sketches from the DS and back onto the comp and then to blow up and work on in PS or Painter? It seems possible (obviously you have posted them here so...) but is it relatively pain free?

I took a DS just for that

Yes, very simple and intuitive software, very good for "quick life sketching".

It's possible, sure, but I think it depend what you want to do and how you want to make it.
Colors pictures are 512x384 pixels long (for the moment), it's little to make a big finished illustration with this base directly, but for a speed paint or sketche it's possible.

Alternative solution for more big images : a Tablet PC with Photoshop or Painter

    I hope that help you

    bye

    *sorry for my poor english

hmm, but couldn't you just get your basic sketch and then blow it up to a workable size in PS or painter? It would be all fuzzy and pixellated but if all you're using it for is to get your ideas down then it seems that would work... right? All you'd have to do is paint over it. I dunno, just thinking out loud.

And man, I'd love a tablet PC but DSs are so much cheaper, haha.

Your idea is completely plausible, Dose206, once you expand your image to a higher rez and paint over it, it will look fine, or alternatively you could do a side-by-side repaint in your software of choice and just paint at a higher resolution.

From 500ish pixels going higher then 1K+ would distort the pixels pretty badly but painting over it is possible, especially if its just a sketch to get a form down, etc.

I have been wanting to get a small tablet for my laptop for this same purpose.

Aussome work here. Daryl, love that last one. Yuk, i'm going shopping for a DS! Always liked ds but was afraid i'd tire of it. Now I know it'll be useful.

Study for the largest painting (like 170*110 cm) I've ever done on canvas:
