Working on a Terry Pratchett movie! I am completely envious. That must be incredible fun.

Thanks JaimeGlad ya likin it. I have been reading "Force - Dynamic life drawing for animators" by Michael D Mattesi. Great for energy expression drawings! mannequins!
Moftah :thanks, I like that one too. just loved the attitude the two people on the bench opposite had.
Molly : Yeah... been drawin chars only this year pretty much. Remember I said at the first meet "Im going to stop drawing characters until I can draw form properly, then ill go back to them... I almost only drew chars before that. badly. haha! You really should try some environs... just make em out of human lines. Think geiger, think muchaor merge your character with the wall... hmmmm.... :d

A week ago, I got my hands on a program called colors (from the aptly named http://www.collectingsmiles.com) that turned my nintendo DS into an art pad... a digital sketchbook. pressure sensitivity and all. frikken fantastic!
My gallery of doodles (a weeks worth at time of posting):
http://images.sketchling.com/index.p...20on%20my%20DS
and some of them for the thread...
I love this program.

Indeed,
I'm enjoying it as well
very very nice book man. i love how you indicate a lot of that stuff and not render it all out. it's cool how a lot of it has great atmosphere/mood even if it's just a quick character sketch.

Man, you are the Jeffrey Jones of the sketchbooks section.
Such a variety of styles and the emotional charge. very cool stuff.
faved.

tensai : Thanks!
Dile: Thanks... I guess the thing I like about sketching on my DS is that i cant really finish anything. At work, I have to polish the living crud out of paintings So its a bit of a release to just doodle on the tube n busses. Guess it wouldnt hurt now and then though... havent produced a finished thing for myself in AGES.
Marioucci : Thanks man, I like to experiment a lot and I kinda want to be able to do everything...Problem with that is ya spend a lot of time learning new things and not so much time producing actual finished work. I want to work as a concept artist full time so im forced to produce something other than matte paintings.Cool animations by the way.

cheers
Not a very big update unfortunately, but some bits n pieces none the less.
Bugstudy I never quite finished
And a speedpaint I did yesterday (1 1/2 hours or so... and yes, I think its worth finishing at some point):
Iv done more, just need to sort myself out n post it
Hyver: You got one yet? Coolest thing everI love the DS. Best part is the homepage has a gallery that can playback what people have drawn as an animation. very informative
Kian: Thanks dude... might work them up some day. I intend to use my DS as a thumbnail factory for stuff.
More coming soon.

ohh wow these are really amazing. love your style.
woah, what you call a speedy and do within 1 1/2 hours is freakin fantastic. and that you wanna make it a finished piece is leaving me all exited. I'm really looking forward to see that.
not to disregard your other stuff. so varied and full of life. great job, just waiting for the next update...
Metal : Thanks
Monotony : Thanks alsoLike the avatar! Yeah, Ill get round to polishing it a bit eventually. I did this one fast cause I used a lot of the atmospheric tricks I learned from matte painting... so ya dont have to paint many details.
