post 28 is full of very nice work, man.Digging the illustration, very nice poses and colors.Figures look a bit cut out in no4, and you could experiment more texturing (check out m@ or Barontieri's brushes) but then again, nice stuff

Yet another Naruto piece.

This was done in Photoshop CS, I'm still not comfortable with using different brushes yet, but I getting there. I'm still amazed at how it only takes some people an hour to finish an entire painting when it takes me an hour just to fill in the line art Anyone have in helpful tips or links they can direct me to, I've been skimming through the Photoshop thread here on the forum but I haven't seen anything that I'm not already doing, beside making custom brushes.

On a side note, can anyone tell me how to get my thumbnail pic to show up on the front page of this forum, it was viewable before I updated the first entry(to change the date)?

wow, your stuff is sick. especially from a long time fan of comicbook art, this stuff is inspiring to me. i like your mix of manga/american style, many have tried, but few have found a happy medium.. great stuff!

TheGnoll- You're probably right, I'm usually more enticed to look at sketch books that have multiply pages versus just one.

Here's some character sketches I worked up today.

A bit of a quick color experiment. It started with a simple two color gradient then I added the values and other colors.

Faust - Don't look too closely, because I did all that from memory, no references, so I'm sure there are lots of mistakes. Ha.

Here's a random sketch collage, I patched a couple of sketches together because I didn't want to post them separately. These were done with a little more rendering than I usually use with pencils.

Having a bit of photoshop fun on my lunch break.

Some sketchy anatomy studies. I'm trying to work on familiarizing myself with the back muscles and how they react in different poses. First I selected the poses, did a rough outline of the structure and used my anatomy reference books to place the muscles groups accordingly.
