Barracuda, dogfighter

This is a concept I made for a low profile game about this lady, Barracuda. She rebels against her master, the Serpent, and tries to take over the whole of his business in her modded spitfire.

I'd like to have some crits and comments on it. You can take a look at the wips in my sketchbook by following the link at the bottom

Well, I should be working so I'm gonna keep this critique concise: The steering column, at the base, should be a lot wider since it is right near the eye, so make it more of a cone than a cylinder at this angle. There is also a perspective issue with the steel cage/bars on the window at the top... they should probably start bending down a lot more towards the top of the picture.
The blue outline on her face is also way too defined... I'm not even sure you need the blue on her face--it would be more appropriate on her gloves, if anywhere (probably it shouldn't be there at all).
One more thing: the sky looks much too photoshop-y with such solid brush strokes. Try reducing the opacity and making dozens of strokes in the same area overlapping to get the same basic effect.
Well.. that was actually a pretty detailed critique, hah.
Anyway, I like the picture; it has a lot of potential... keep it up

yeah, the column should be more along her center line- it looks like it goes off to the right of her body. The yellow sky didnt read to me that this was a fighter plane till I read your intro. Is this a dawn flight or sunset?

K guys, thx for the crits'n'comments so far, will get into it! Don't know yet if its dawn or sunset, I will rework the sky completely, might be more defined afterwards.

Looks good! Only one thing bothering me though, and that's her face.
We look at her from beneath so the face and neck seem too long.
I made a qiuck (bad) paintover to show you. I hope you dont mind.

thx for the effort, but I don't know if that's necessary atm. I shortened the neck drastically allready Here is another update, gonna work the last little blisters etc out of this piece and then I'm calling it finished, unless you guys'n gals still have crits?

Any second opinions on the neck?
