I would like to be allowed access to the girls section as well. I tried to do this when I first forund out about it months ago when the big, all-female artists calendar thing was going on, but security was tight and was not allowed in.

FYI, for those of you who have hardly ever, or even never posted here before, I recommend that you put some time in establishing yourself as a regular community member first, so that the moderators don’t assume you’re a guy who has set up a new account to get into the girls’ forum. Post some art, have some discussions. To be extra helpful, you could post a self-portrait.

I have a very low post count, but I've participated in a couple of the weekly CHOWs and posted for crits a time or two. Honestly, I'd think that many of us clamoring for the girls forum are interested in it because it's intimidating to try to jump into the established boy's club. I've been lurking and watching CA for years, but I don't post often because I don't feel like I'm part of the community. Unless you're already an amazing artist, diving in is kind of scary.

CA 101 looks great - I'll definitely have to do some of the assignments. I've been making a lot of progress with my art in the past couple of years, but going back to basics always helps. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!

Yeah, that was my first post, asking for access. I'm more of a lurker I believe it's called, I never really have much to say anyway. I like to draw, but I'm not ready to post anything. I'll wait then.
