Like some of us here, we all want to receive the proper training to become a proficient artist no matter what field we desire to be in. In my case, I want to be a full-time painter, but I feel that, in order for me to become the painter that I desire to be, I want to receive intensive training in painting and drawing. Particularly in New York where the Water st. Atelier is located. The catch is that I'm not a U.S citizen. I'm from the Philippines. I only have a tourist visa, but that won't be enough for me to study there for a lengthy amount of time( say, 1 or more yrs). And since the Water st. Atelier is basically just a studio itself, not a big institution like a university, they won't be able to accept student visas. In what way/s can I extend my stay there for more than a year? Is it also possible for a non-citizen to work there(legally, of course)?
If you guys have some knowledge or experience regarding this matter, please feel free to share it. Thanks for the help!
