here's something i've been working on the past day or so, i'm having trouble with lighting and the color of the lighting.. no reference so i guess that would make it more difficult. medium is acrylic ink and matte medium layers between on tan rives bfk (my sheik - alter ego of princess zelda)

hey your hatching looks really nice, you have some really strong pieces!

my favorite is the 5th drawing in your first post, the last digital also looks nice!

one thing: i noticed that you used approximately the same fleshtones on both of your digitals, in the last one it matches well, but in the first one it doesn't go with the pure white of the shirt.

keep going, you are doing very fine!

Great stuff in here!
First off, I really enjoyed the guitar hero piece.
But the one that tipped it off for me was the Shiek piece.
Very well done. The only thing that looks a little odd is her left leg looks a little thin. Is Shiek's hair really that long? Great colors!
Your sp is cute too.
I wouldn't mind seeing some animals!

@___@! this is a pic i'm coloring for a friend, although i dont have THAT much experience coloring in ps, i'm tryin! i was messing with the skin tones so much, that when i was done and smiling, i realized i hadn't touched anything else, booo.. haha, so before i go insane and mess everything up with randomness, gonna leave it alone here and chill, then come back. pleeeeaaaaasseee critique the color! and whatever else needs to be looked at !

wow, amazing sketchbook already. I really like every single thing in here. my favorite is probably the sheik painting, because its awsome, and because I'm a total zelda nerd.

Wake> thanks! You know.. I've never actually played a full Zelda game all the way through. I just heard through watching friends play SSBM, etc that the cool ninja dude was actually a chick, and then she was actually princess Zelda. Sweet! lol -_-;

I'll be gone for the holidays this weekend of course, but I bet I'll be back with a looooot of life drawings - !!

wow, your still lifes are awsome. You draw with such confedence in every stroke, and the fact that it is all pens makes it even more amazing. I was just wondering, what kind of pens do you suggest and what sizes do you work with.

I feel I could learn alot from your work, great job.

Wake101> wow, thanks! well, for the life drawings I'm using a Pentel R.S.V.P ballpoint pen "FINE" ... haha, I just pretty much copied that from the pen. It sometimes blots and makes dirty marks on my drawings, which I'm really liking lately.. you can get these at like lil' book stores and walmart I'm sure. The inking is done with a Pentel ColorBrush, black. Lately though, I've been messing around with a waterbrush that I filled with india ink, which makes the marks look a little more transparent and "messy".

i use the same exact pens, haha and i do notice that the ink tends to build up on the tip, so i usually make a random scribble on the side of my drawing to wipe away that excess...keeps it from smearing on my hand if i touch the paper. i never thought to use the blots to add to my work. i usually use the Medium RSVP, sometimes the Fine(check out my sketchbook if you geta chance, hint hint).
you have some really inspiring stuff here. i like the Cloud pic, especially how its unfinished. also your hatching and use of pure black tones in your still lifes is refreshing. you really know how to use the whole page. i'm gonna keep an eye on this thread.

The last update is really good, you contron negative space well and you have an highly unique line and your character are not lacking personality.
