Alrighty I present my futuristic firetruck (complete with the xbox 1billion for the off-hours).

Its a low riding vehicle with an open hatch like a helicopter for quick boarding. The two tanks at the back are water containers which, surprisingly, hold the water that feed the water canon.

I'm really tempted to do a 3/4 backview so you can see the engines.. and yes, the perspective is all wonky cuz I did it all freehand and cheated

Drawn in flash mx, coloured in PS (1hour total).

Woh Sillikone that is really good. Your finnished work must be even better. What type of paint is that in painter? Also next time you do something like that can you save a few shots of progress, sort of like a tutorial, I'd like to get a better Idea on how to paint like that.

There's no fires in the future so this truck features a whipped cream tube and friendly syrup hoses

5frames- simple, nice and look like it was only pleasure to draw that. I very like simple, quick sketches and I'm a bit tired of my detailed ones. The next one will be simple

thanks for the positive feedback, people. mr joe - i'd be happy to do a few screencaps along the way sometime. fyi, it's conte in painter ix.5. i find it's the easiest tool to work with. it's not the flashiest, but it's very predictable - yet still can yield some happy, chaotic accidents...which is one reason why painter is a cool app.

some good vehicle designs on this round.

mahsroh - i feel this has potential to be a really cool painting, if you felt like putting some xtra time into it. everything's there...perspective, composition, story. just needs some tightening. mabye the forground figure could be moved a little bit away from the edge.
    my 2 cents worth.

Any advances made in the field of firefighting is quickly overshadowed by the size of futuristic fires, as overpopulation spreads, and buildings grow ever taller and closer together.

...Well basically al I did was take a huge time-consuming detour wich resulted in me getting bored with it and finishing it up quickly. But thanks for the comment.

silliKONe, again nice execution and good use of detail, I this this adhered most to the "decked-out" parameter.

5 frames I like the chopper crew compartment idea. Wow concept from flash you are brave!

    Inkfish, cool idea!!

    Linkmerth, nice shape!

mahsroh the vehicle is a hard read, good outside thinking though.

    good job artists!

    Bit late.. sry.
    Here is mine;
sfter developing a water gun using active promotéus, a gas only know by the developpers themselves, the super soaker company discovered that those water guns were way too powerfull. (the death of several test monkey still stand as a proof of the overpresurized firepower release.) To avoid bankrupt, the super soaker company modified their prototype to start the manifacturing of fire truck.

Lingmerth, I liked that arrow you drew in your sketch.. As for your final firetruck, the lines could be sharpened around the wheels to make it seem more realistic than comical. The lavender is well-placed and not overpowering. Maybe you could draw plumes of smoke or fire in the backround? Enjoy yourself.

Thanks Vulgar`, I tried to add som tyre-pattern at some stage, but felt It didn't really work with the simplicity of design. But I completly agree with you.
