so far so good, far from finished still but I want to get it done before the year ends. I'm posting this here for any thoughts, any ideas anything at all that bothers the eye. all suggestions welcome and so on.

more specifically, is the bottle holding hand okay? I'm still thinking of redoing it. and does the scarf texture read okay? or is there still something plastic or icky about it?

and a beforehand mention that so far the coat has no work hours on it at all and the eyes are just as far

the hand does seem a bit off.. the lower fingers seem spread as if curled around something more spherical such as a ball rather than cylindrical. I walked around and picked up things to make sure

and the pinky finger seems smallish too. The other hand also seems to be a bit odd. I cant even get my fingers into that position hehe. Scarf looks good. seems fuzzy enough, no plastic there.

The swirls in the background look like the stench of alcohol ^^
Would be funny to see him with a really stupid look.

Something like he would say:
Haaeeyy...*hicks* maaan .. Iaaam drank..*hicks*

very nice rendering on the guy. but the background needs more work. also his left hand is still a bit off.

yep left hand still has spaghetti fingers. I think its because you're not taking into account the fingerless gloves as part of the digits. And you're doing the short pinky thing again. I liked him better with more squinty closed eyes. he looked more jovial. I kind of like the background.. or at least the motion/movement of it as long as it doesnt take on a 'halo' appearance for him.

wow, huge leap forward on the update, but the hand on the bottle bothers me. wouldn't we see at least a little of the guy's thumb? i've tried grabbing stuff around the house and i always come up with some thumb, whether it's pointed out or curled up, there's always some. also, this is just me, but it would feel more believable if he was looking up at the bottle as if trying to draw some inspiration for the magnificent speech (drunken ramble) he's about to give. although he doesn't look very drunk and judging by the level of wine in the bottle, and that it has a cork in it, i guess he wouldn't be. so, it begs the question, is he supposed to be sloppy drunk or just getting started?

dose206: theoretically the thumb is there : ) doesn't read too well though, I guess it looks like the index finger right now. the whole positioning of the hand is crooked though, a bit too much work to fix that now, gonna keep in mind to work out poses better in the future. something so powerful and focal should also read well as a shilouette and should have some strenght in it, doesn't really live up to it the way it's positioned now : (

jubilee: aaww, I loved those spaghetti fingers. Long and graceful.. and utterly wrong : ( I tried fixing them up a bit. Though I'm gonna keep the eyes, it has that sense of character that's closer to an Easter Europoean Bohemian than jovial closed eyes. And there's always a certain grace, even when the person at hand is in a drunken stupor : )
