A couple of cockpit concepts, the sort that cracks open all over to allow access to hookups and such as well as to look all cool and dramatic.

I love ur work.
but the top one bothers me with it perspectives.
if this canopy closes like the bottom one maybe it need to be
more forward on the top.
sorry for doodling on ur art but it the only way a artist can work
not much on words.
the lines are my perspective lines.
i moved the cables under cause if the lid closes then snap them off
and the bottom thing had no reason for being.
i had two years of perspective classes.
if im wrong about the top closing sorry just that there a glass top.

I should probably explain the concept a bit more, I think.
The lower part of the cockpit actually moves like a jaw, up and back, to close. The hoses are completely external and would be something plugged in during maintenance on the ground. As far as the perspective issue in the upper part of the canopy, you've misinterpreted the structure peeking out from under the forward area. It's the portside counterpart to the projection more immediately read as such. The confusion is the result of jpeg compression- it darkened the darkest areas and obscured the contrast. I'll post a more detailed image soon...
Won't get into the discussion of the perspectives. It looks alright to me for the moment.....haven't figured out how this thing works!
Hey MC, you sure got some good shit going on! I liked your mechanical designs and that girly from the other posts and that neon blue glow really works here. I'm sure this cockpit is part of a bigger mech...so I'll hold my breath.....not too long....for the complete view of this monster....or how-ever you want to develop it![]()

There are 3 sides to every story. Yours, mine and THE TRUTH.
Sweet! I really like your style there? what do you use? painter liquid tools? any tips on colour?
The second one shows really well how things could lock together....
Anyway, I really like it....

I understood your concept as both parts moving, but after closer examination saw the top was static, then realized the seat also moves backward, so I guess reding your intention is a little difficult, arrows seem the obviuos choice, but maybe you can figure out a more subtle solution.
It also seems that the small protrusion of the canopy is unanswered by the bottom part and won't create an airtight seal (corrected by darrell)
Where's the stick? or does it have more futuristic controls?
Good rendering:
