i decided to scan in a handful of things tonight...so i thought id go ahead and post some..

oh yeah, looking forward to meeting everyone in Austin this weekend !

this is a page from my current sketchbook...pencil and ink jet label stickers with a picture of me printed on them... all stuff out of my head.

another sketchbook page...all out of my head..except for the 2 guys with glasses...they were at the coffee shop that afternoon.

drew this last fall... was working out ideas for some larger pieces ive yet to get around to doing.. this ones about 11 x 14

another sketchbook page...all out of my head

sketchbook page, done from some photographs i took

    nother sketch page...out my head.

i finally got around to getting a wacom tablet and painter, since i just got my own computer. so ive been fooling around with painter 8 for the past week...heres one random sketch... eh still need to figure out some more stuff with it.

heres a couple old self portraits from last fall...done from life

and a sketch i did of my friend last winter...

great stuff! love the style. cant pick a favorite. your stuff would be one of the examples I would give when saying how a camera just can't capture moments as beautifully as a great artist.

Yo Wes, nice to see some new stuff, awesome as ever.

Sandra says you're coming to town this fall. She and I bumped into Isaac and Jenny last week outside of Forum. The CIA family is strong in New York, hehe.

Have fun in Austin, wish I was going, but there'll be another Water Street surprise.

words simply cannot express how much i love your work. how did you get so damn good. ... .seriously? your ability to render and create such amazing and lifelike characters out of your head boggles my mind. these are all things that im working on, but when i look at your work. .i have no idea how i will reach such a high level of utter sweetness.

also, what are you doing now that you are out of school?

    peace man

looking forward to meeting you in austin

wow those pencils are awesome! Really drives home the importance of a sketchbook, something I've been neglecting for a while. Reminds me of John Foster's work.

Nice job. I especially like the guy on the horse; it'd be an interesting painting.

Hey Wes. I've been a fan of your art for a long time. I've seen your site before and was very impressed. This is my first time commenting on your work. Hopefully you'll be one of the many people I'll have a chance to meet in Austin. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to get to see your skills in action.
    Awesome stuff!!!
