Hello,
Just got my first tablet (wacom)...
Always was impressed by digital arts but never tried myself - I only drew in pencil before. So here it is - my first work.
I would like your input and advice on how to improve it.
Thank you!

I think you may have forgotten the image.

can we see some process shots?
I did not save any procces pictures, it took me 3 days to come up with what you see above, I was high on inspiration.
But below you can see some body paintjob in the beginning of my project.
I did some minor changes to the side rim and refined the grill upfront.
Looks alright to me. A little more color on the yellow body might do it good; something like a reflection of something colored, or a shadow of slightly different color. It's too monochromatic as is.
Check the relative sizes of the wheels, and make sure they are more round. I presume you're going to finish the radiator grill.
Is this from a photo?

"I do not want to overpaint it..."
why submit it for crits then?
i think it looks pretty good, but it looks like you already overpainted the photo, clues for example are the guy standing behind the car with the white tshirt is also on your working image.
that and the supernaturally perfect tread on the tyres shouts overpaint.

yeah thats pretty much what i hinted at by my prior comment. I really don't get what people get out of this, apart from making them selves look good.
uhm...
learning maybe?
I am not an artist and never painted in color...
Trying to play with colors, filters and shading
Why posting to critics?
- maybe to get some advice on how to improve?
i dont want to "over" paint it, well, sorry for my english than, I ment I do not want to exaggeratedly emphasize the grill and make it pop out of the whole image.
@dog-faced, do what? paint? paint from the picture? why do you paint? were you born perfect?
@Velocity Kendall, I have used black to cover the previous image and then used the colors from the original picture to reproduce it in mine. There is not a single detail that is kept in my picture, so the picture underneeth it covered with 100% black. Wheels? - 100% painted by me.
I mentioned previously that the car was made from the wikipedia picture, so I never lied in any way shape and form...

I'm sorry i re-read my comment and it was a bit harsh. This stuff to me is really annoying. When i see this i just think that the person (not saying you where but it happens a lot and is a waste of peoples time) is trying to make themself feel better by manipulating a photo to make it look painterly so that everyone loves them, deviant-artists are a good example of this. it's really not what this place is about. this forum is about honesty and learning, because at the end of the day you cant cheat yourself into being a professional artist. Again that's not aimed at you but that happens and its a pain in the arse.
What i will say is that this is wasting your time if you want to be able to draw automotive designs of your own. you want to hammer the perspective and value studies.
Also regarding colour, it's something that you should learn after you can do the above (perspective and value). but when it comes to it don't be a sampler, i've done it before and its just a load of crap, especially as photo's don't replicate how the eye works so it'll feel photo-y. you want to do some still life from your desk and or just play with colour. ultimately you don't have to get colour spot-on, it's just more information that you should be adding consciously from knowledge and when appropriate.
Again i'm sorry to have offended you but i hope you see where i'm coming from....
ok well, if youre learning and enjoying yourself carry on
if youre interested in drawing cars i can help, but if youre more interested in just learning photoshop and so on, try doing studies of master paintings.

I do not know what I would like to paint in general at this point...
I am just amazed on how awesome is the tablet and stuff that you can do with it for now...
Trying this and trying that in my free time and hopefully eventually I could find my niche in something associated with digital painting.

paint the form first not the details. right now you are painting with the details - not a good habit to have (speaking from my own experience)
