This is my 1st attempt to paint girls / horses couldnt quite get the right feel................ plz crtic hard so tht i can improve consistencly

only for the horse and clothing of the girl ..... couldnt find a picture with tht angle for the girl ......

I would try to tilt the girl more to the right. When the horse is at such a steep angle it looks awkward when the girl is also. It would look more dynamic in my opinion if she was almost vertical.

Her leg looks wrong. Is she using stirrups? What is that on her feet, furry boots? Horse has too little volume in the belly area.

i would suggest doing a couple of relevant studies before you paint any illustration. the more the better, it just helps wrap your head around the subject matter.

Are you sure you want to give the girl a bikini? Her legs will hurt like hell after only a few minutes, nevermind what will happen to them after a whole day's riding. Anyone who's halfway familiar with riding will cringe at the thought of sitting bare-legged on a horse. (At least I do.) Also, she doesn't look very menacing in a bikini... I wouldn't really mind if she was a rich lady taking her horse for a ride along the beach and going bathing, but since she's not... Well, it just irritates me a bit

Well, there *is* historical precedent for people rising trouser-less.

Many of the ancient peoples, from Numidians (below) to Romans until the 1st century A. D., rode just in their tunics, which provided no leg protection whatsoever. They must have had rather callous thighs.
