    Help me Improveh :D

Go to the last page for most recent art or just go to my facebook where i upload regularly

    Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Art-o...5990560?ref=hl

    Hello guys!

My name is peter i am a 15 (just turned 16) year old living in Sweden.
I am a self taught artist with the desire to improve and hopefully work with art someday . Please tell me what to change in my pictures because at deviant art they don't provide the feedback i want.
I'm aware that all my pictures lack detail but recently I've started working on it.
Since the beginning of the year i started to paint daily(one environment a day keeps the doctor away?). Ive managed pretty well so far I draw people and landscape-thumbnails on paper while just paint landscapes on the comp. I hope you can help me get better!

[mwahahahaha my bait to lure you in xD this image is on page 4 or 5 actually] the images below are according to the time of the post

    Here is some recent work.

OK so what can i improve? I have hard skin, smack me with you comments. Doesn't matter if they make me feel sad, I WANNA GET BETTER!

    Hi,

sure your enviromentals are amazing! Some of them miss some deep though, not that I'm better That's just what I noticed. What I really love about your work, are the clear lines. There is nothing blurry if you go and refine your sketches and that just makes them look overnatural - in a good way obviously. That might not look very realistic but I'm not a huge fan of "photorealistic" art. It's exacltly that clear look that I just love!! I sure got to try that too soon

As I'm not so good with enviroments I think I can learn from these so I'll just subscribe now, thanks for posting your work!!

I like to watch you painting

So you need 27 minutes for that enviroment speed paint. Do you get the ideas while painting, or do you start with something in mind? I wouldn't probably be able to do something like this in half an hour, but I'm not doing speedpaintings anyway. Because I get stuck on details. And if one part is detailed I beginn refining all the rest of the picture But I will try this too soon!

It seems like your landscapes are nice, so just start working more on your figures, just keep going with them.

Hey, here is a huge bug I noticed: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1333447580

You can't just copy the image to create the reflection. For example you would only be able to see one side of the wall of the tunnel in the mirror, because its offset. The perspective just doesn't match anymore and that makes it feel wrong somehow.

I hope you know what I mean. It's quite difficult to describe if I can't point on the picture.

    Hope that helps

Maybe you should not see it as a mirrored image, but a second room behind a glass wall. This way you would draw it in the correct perspective You just have to imagine everything a bit different. mirrored

here is a quick example of the different perpectives. I know its not so good, but just to show you what i meant. The right one is correct, the left is incorrect (watch the symbols and where they mirror):

Hello. Quite a nice thread you have here. The environments are very promising.
At this point, I would advice you to grab a pen and pencil and to do some life drawings. Do anything from quick sketches to precise anatomy studies. This should support your academics, especially if you have some instructor who can check your progres on the go.

And thanks for dropping by my thread.

    Cheers
