Hello guys! As the title implies, I'm just some artist in training introducing myself here.

But you all knew that. Some specifics about myself. I am an aspiring 14 year old male artist joining this community in hopes of improving my artwork.

In total, I've only had about a years worth of me actually drawing. I did draw some rather horrendous artwork back in 6th grade, put down the pencil for 2 and 1/2 years and picked it up again around June-ish of 2011. I would have started sooner, but my laziness kept telling me "I'll start next week" or "I have plenty of time, I'll do it over Spring Break."

I didn't really start drawing again until one very specific reason.

That was My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Now, before anyone assumes anything, I will not be forcing the show down anyone's throat, I will not go raving about the show to anyone unless being asked to first, and I will try to avoid talking about ponies on these forums as I made it strictly to learn how to draw things besides ponies.

Ok so back to my story. I picked up the pencil again when messing around on my (now deleted) ask blog for Spike from the aforementioned FiM. I was pretty darn horrible the first several attempts at drawing him, but I improved as the months went by.

After about 8 months, I lost all motivation for it and deleted it as sad as it had apparently made several people.

But enough rambling about ponies that no one cares about, time to type about other things.

I was originally introduced to ConceptArt through some links that someone posted about over on Tumblr. I brushed it off and left the thought in the back of my head for several weeks. Getting back on was due to another link to a specific person's thread here that I can't remember (silly me) about their journey as an artist from an absolute beginner to amazing over the years.

Again, still didn't join until some time later (that time being today) when I decided to slow down all my pony drawings and work on other things. I've heard amazing things from these forums and figured it's a good of a start as any until I'd find good art classes I can take.

I am absolutely clueless on how to work this site and forums in general so bear with me if I post in incorrect areas or something.

I know that any sketches/incomplete artwork goes into my sketchbook thread, but I'd like to at least post something here to possibly attract others into my sketchbook.

Anyway, gonna make a sketchbook thread tomorrow as I'm tired and need to go to bed right about now.
